NOW OFFERING:
Do you want to experience the release of a hands-on Yoga Therapy treatment, but you are not able to commit to weekly sessions or a home practice? Now, you can schedule a single session with Jessica and get some relief!
What does this session look like and how does it differ?
There is no full assessment or plan of care (just a quick check in about any body or mind concerns--more like a massage). We will quickly check in, and begin with some pranayama practices and you will receive hands-on spinal release by the yoga therapist. There will be music, guided relaxation, and some time at the end to just lie there and absorb the experience or sit for meditation. You will be offered herbal tea and dark chocolate once the session has concluded.
Who this is not ideal for? Those looking for deeper work, like healing from past trauma and working with chronic pain. While this may help those things some, you want continued work and a home practice for that.
Want to give it a try? Schedule below!

Reposted from Stacey, Jenny, and I spent this beautiful morning with , learning all about restorative yoga and how it could help us balance our busy, driven lives.
Jessica works with a range of conditions in her practice , but specializes in helping clients process past trauma, reduce anxiety, release tight muscles, and get better sleep. She offers private yoga therapy (one-on-one or small groups) and gives her students custom tools for their personal healing. Loved every minute of spending time with her!

“Just as an ignorant individual performs action with attachment, Arjuna, so does a wise person perform action without attachment, wishing for the welfare of society.” Kriṣna - Śloka 3.25 of the Bhagavad Gītā
When you are living a yogic life, you act consciously. You slow things down. Settle any emotions that have come up. You walk around a situation and then make a choice, acting from a place of wisdom. See the situation from all sides and choose deliberately, freeing yourself from any sense of urgency. You think of the impact of your decision beyond yourself.
This is a practice - easier said than done in the heat of a moment. You can use yogic practices to help. Pause and take 5 deep conscious breaths. Or do a few rounds of mantra and clear your mind. Maybe even an āsana practice. Practice the pause! And remember - there is no yogic action without wisdom.
Living in devotion. Always. जय माँ 🌸🌺🌸

Just a quick introduction of Jessica, yoga therapist and owner of Back in Balance Yoga Therapy.
Certified yoga therapist (PYT), Instructor, 500RYT, certified prenatal instructor (RPYT), and Accessible Yoga Ambassador with additional training in therapeutic yoga structuring, trauma-informed yoga, pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal and postnatal yoga, and special populations including those with chronic pain. Jessica also has a bachelor degree in psychology from Jacksonville State University (2020).
Jessica has been practicing yoga since 2016. She discovered yoga on a health journey and began practicing. From there, she found how yoga can heal everything from your body to your mind, your spirit, and beyond. She obtained her first teaching certificate in December of 2016. She then received her 200 hour certificate in 2017 with HereNowYoga (Becca Impello and Kim Drye) in Birmingham, Alabama—an Alignment-based training. After that, she received a 500 hour certificate in December 2018 and her certification in Yoga Therapy in October of 2019, both with Etowah Valley Yoga (Sue Hopkins) in Cartersville, Georgia. She received her 100 hour Prenatal certification in December of 2019 with Abbey Brewer at Etowah Valley Yoga. Jessica’s main Yoga Therapy style that she uses comes from training with Kaya Mindlin, who founded SRY (Supreme Release or Spinal Release Yoga). She has also does additional philosophical training with Kaya. Jessica is a student of Advaita Vedanta, and she studies Veda theory (Veda Studies, Shantala Sriramaiah), Vedic chanting (Kaya Mindlin), Ayurveda (Yoga Veda), Jyotisha (Vedic Tradition), and Sanskrit (HUA).
My passion for teaching is in the therapeutic and healing world of yoga. I work privately with clients who are looking to process past trauma and realize/rework habitual patterns. Many of my clients are dealing with pelvic health concerns, insomnia and sleep disturbance, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, and other forms of chronic pain. My desire is to help each individual find deep peace, rest, and healing. I work to help you find balance through stillness in a tumultuous and busy world.

What is Spinal Release Yoga Therapy?
Supreme Release Yoga (SRY) is a deeply nourishing, restorative, rejuvenative style of Yoga Therapy. In every session, we will work to quiet the mind and release tight and tense muscles. You will be guided in poses that release the entire spine (tailbone, sacrum, psoas, ribcage) in a very meticulous way that allows for a full release especially in tight or stuck areas of the spine and body. You will be guided through specific pranayama using the breath and guided relaxation meant to calm the nervous system allowing for a state of calm and tranquility. For full benefit, you are encouraged to practice this style daily (shorter practice is fine) and meet with a SRY Yoga teacher weekly.
