1:1 Yoga Therapy to release muscle tension, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep 1:1 Yoga Therapy with Jessica Mayberry, specializing in pelvic health and better sleep.
Supreme Release Yoga is a deeply nourishing, restorative, rejuvenative style of Yoga Therapy. In every session, we will work to quiet your mind and release tight and tense muscles. You will be guided in poses that release the entire spine (tailbone, sacrum, psoas, ribcage) in a very meticulous way that allows for a full release especially in tight or stuck areas of the spine and body. You will be

If you’re feeling burned out, the first thing that’s important to understand is that you don’t have to “do more” in order to feel better.
❌ “just take better care of yourself”
❌ “just change your mindset”
❌ “just take a vacation”
If you have job-related burnout, addressing your working conditions is key. That doesn’t mean you have to quit your job per se, but it does mean that chronic stressors need to be reduced as soon as possible. Burnout won’t go away on it’s own. In fact, it often worsens over time and starts manifesting as physical symptoms (headaches and stomachaches, much?)
A good place to start would be identifying ongoing stressors then talking to your boss or colleagues to see what changes can be made to improve the situation.

Bottom up is how I help you process trauma in yoga therapy. We hold so much tension in our bodies from past experiences. Learning how to let go on a physical level (which can be harder than it sounds) helps you learn to release those deeper patterns that areno longer serving you.
A slow, meticulous love practice rooted in community care.
"The purpose of SRY is not how far does the body go from point A to point B, but rather, what inner resolve, relaxation, release, and rejuvenation can take place when I let go at the deepest level, and what do I discover when that occurs. The props are used to support that primary purpose.
It’s not that one should never make any effort in life or strive. Indeed, this is part of life. However, most modern people living a life in the world do not need MORE training in how to push, force, achieve and strive. If they do need help with this, you aren’t likely to find them in the local studio doing modern postural yoga.
Most often the students that “can” go the “furthest” in a pose are stretching or pushing past the point of healing and transformation. They may be avoiding something deep within. When they back out of those extreme angles and let go of effort they discover so much."

Using Props to Deepen Your Practice {aka why props are not remedial} • Yoga With Kaya Let’s talk about props. In most forms of modern postural yoga, props are used as a “remedial measure”. This means, if a student “can’t do” a particular āsana, the teacher provides a “gap filler” in the form of a prop. For example, if a student can’t reach the floor in a standing f...

In times where (almost) everything is available to us at the click of a button, we must inculcate patience.
The Yogic texts remind us of, “Kshane, Kshane” which means one step, one breath, one thing at a time.
Just because something is not visibly changing, does not means it is not. It is just that when a big change has to become apparent, it is first invisible to the naked eye before it becomes palpable. Have patience!
