Winner in the “Best Golf Course” category in 2025, 2024, 2023 and 2022, in the Mattoon/Charleston Journal Gazette & Times Courier Readers Choice Awards.

An 18 hole championship style golf course designed by William Charles Spear and built in 1989. Meadowview Golf Course is a public course that offers those in East Central Illinois the amenities those would expect from a private club. Meadowview Golf Course welcomes those of all skill levels to test their shot making abilities on our 18-hole championship course. With four different sets of tees, you are able to control how long the course is and how you want to challenge your skills. The plush, beautifully manicured, and tree-lined fairways all have a natural rolling terrain that can give an extra five yard roll or take five yards back. Our pure greens are often guarded by well-groomed bunkered along with numerous water hazards, but if you hit them, you can trust they will roll true. Before you hit the course, perfect your swing on our driving range that has unique target greens to attack. Challenge yourself by drawing and fading shots into targets. Get rid of the yips and save wasted strokes by practicing on your short game on our chipping and putting practice greens. Take in the view from Café on the Green after your round. Enjoy a sandwich or beverage of your choice while looking out the expansive windows that overlook the number 9 green. The Café on the Green offers fast, friendly service that is second to none. Meadowview Golf Course is sure to offer a unique golfing experience and it the staff’s goal to provide you with a quality experience that includes exceptional service in a comfortable atmosphere.

When was the last time you re-gripped your clubs? 👀⛳️

Worn grips can mean less control, less consistency, and more tension in your swing. A fresh set of grips might be the easiest upgrade you make to your game this season.

Not sure if yours are due? Stop by our Pro Shop and we’ll take a look!

🏌️ Visit the Pro Shop to learn more or get your clubs re-gripped.

🍂 Fall Aerification at Meadowview Golf Course ⛳

Take a look at our fall greens aerification process from start to finish!

Our fall aerification is complete, and the greens are healing up beautifully. Just five days after aerification, the holes are already nearly unnoticeable, and we’re well on our way back to normal putting conditions.

At Meadowview, we take pride in using a low-impact aerification process that minimizes disruption to the playing surface while allowing our greens to recover quickly. It’s all about investing in the long-term health of our greens while getting them back to the smooth, consistent putting conditions you expect as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve and maintain the course. We’re excited to see these greens finish healing and continue providing the best playing conditions possible! 🌱

Healthy greens. Faster recovery. Better golf. 💚
