For over 32 years, we have offered karate Tang Soo Do instruction in Meriden, Plantsville, Berlin and now our newest location in Middlebury. We work with individuals to instill valuable skills that will serve them well throughout the course of their lives. At our 4 locations in Meriden, Plantsville (Southington), Berlin (Kensington) & Middlebury, we ensure that every student continues to grow and

learn versus sitting on the bench during classes. At our school nobody sits on the bench. We offer instruction in the Art of World Tang Soo Do under the direction of William Strong and the Late founder Jae Chul Shin. We offer Self Defense, Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Bully prevention combined with the Modern "I CAN" Character development skills and the results are AMAZING! This morning, advanced students from all five Valentin Karate campuses gathered at our Meriden headquarters to be evaluated.

These pictures show more than students taking a test.

They show years of training, perseverance, encouragement, and personal growth.

Every advanced student began as a beginner. Some entered their first class nervous. Some struggled with focus or confidence. Others weren’t sure whether martial arts was for them.

But they kept showing up.

Today, they stand together as experienced martial artists, setting goals, accepting challenges, supporting one another, and demonstrating what they have learned.

That is why parents have trusted Valentin Karate since 1989.

We don’t simply promise confidence, discipline, focus, and leadership. We give students a place to develop those qualities over time and today’s advanced students are the proof.

🥋 WHY HAVE PARENTS TRUSTED VALENTIN KARATE FOR OVER 37 YEARS?

This morning, advanced students from all five Valentin Karate campuses gathered at our Meriden headquarters to be evaluated.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001 a day that forever changed our nation.

We pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the courageous first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away, and the many survivors, families, service members, and communities who continue to carry the weight of that day.

September 11 is not only a day of remembrance it is also a National Day of Service. One of the greatest ways we can honor those we lost is by serving others with kindness, compassion, and unity.

Perform an act of kindness. Help a neighbor. Thank a first responder. Support a veteran. Give your time to someone in need. No act of service is too small when it comes from the heart.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We still honor. And through service above self, we ensure that their legacy lives on.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

One of our current adult students is 77 years old and he just tested for his Second-Degree Black Belt.

He didn’t earn that belt because martial arts came with an age limit.
