“There’s no way those cakes are real!” 😂

The truth is, about 99.5% of the cakes leaving our studio are fully edible wedding cakes. Years of experience (and a lot of heavy lifting!) have taught us how to safely transport and move them.

Every now and then we do create dummy cakes for extremely tall designs or special situations, but the vast majority of what you see here is the real thing. 🤍

And yes… next week’s 11-tier cake is one of those rare exceptions. 😉

One of the questions we get asked most often:

“Why does the groom get his own cake?” 🎂

Here in Louisiana, groom’s cakes are a Southern tradition we see at weddings all the time. They give couples a chance to showcase the groom’s hobbies, favorite teams, careers, or interests in a fun and personal way.

From LSU and golf to hunting and music, groom’s cakes add another layer of personality to the celebration.

One of my favorite details from this wedding at Marche was the sweetest tribute to the couple’s pups… complete with the dogs taking a little “bite” out of the cake. 🐶🤍

I love seeing couples find meaningful ways to include their pets in their wedding day, even when their four-legged family members can’t be there in person.
