It is with profound sadness that the Dorsey family shares the passing of our beloved Tommy Dorsey.
Tommy was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, as well as an avid pool player and cherished part of Diamond Billiards. His presence, friendship, and love for the game were woven into the fabric of this community, and his absence will be felt by so many.
His illness progressed with heartbreaking speed following a recent diagnosis of stage IV esophageal cancer. We are still trying to process how quickly we lost him and appreciate everyone’s understanding as our family moves through these difficult first days.
We are deeply grateful for the friendship and kindness so many of you showed Tommy throughout his life and for the many wonderful memories made with him over the years. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this sudden and devastating loss.
Your condolences, stories, and memories of Tommy are deeply appreciated and will bring great comfort to our family. To help us manage the many messages of support during these difficult first days, we kindly ask that you share them in the comments on this post whenever possible rather than through individual calls or texts. This will allow our family to read your messages when we are able.
Information about arrangements for a celebration of Tommy’s life will be shared when it becomes available.
