Do I have to go to swim today?" Yes. Yes, you do. 😅

Knowing how to swim is a life-saving skill, right up there with looking both ways and buckling up. It's also time every week in the real world in the water, with an instructor, next to other kids, no screen in sight.

That's why SafeSplash is part of the Generation Real Project. Youth Enrichment Brands started it to serve more than a million kids a year. The goal is to rebuild the real-world experiences and communities that help kids grow with confidence, resilience, and joy, at a time when so much of childhood competes with a screen.

Families can get the free Generation Real Playbook, co-authored by parenting expert Erica Komisar, LCSW, and journalist Jennifer B. Wallace: https://www.youthenrichmentbrands.com/news/youth-enrichment-brands-launches-the-generation-real-playbook-a-free-guide-to-help-families-reclaim-real-world-childhood

Does your child cry every time you take them to swimming lessons? 😢

You pack their swimming bag. Get them ready. Drive them to the pool.

But the moment they see the water, the tears begin. Sometimes, they refuse to get in!

Sound familiar?

Take a deep breath. ❤️

Your child isn't being difficult. They may simply be scared, unsure, or uncomfortable with the water.

And that's okay!

Learning to swim is more than learning strokes. It's about building trust, overcoming fear, and developing confidence.

Here are 4 ways to help:

1. Start Slowly: Let your child get comfortable at their own pace.
2. Never Force Them: Encouragement works better than pressure.
3. Make It Fun: Turn lessons into happy, playful experiences.
4. Choose the Right Instructor: A patient teacher can make all the difference.

At SafeSplash Swim School, we make every little milestone count!

From putting their face in the water to taking their first independent swim, we celebrate every step.

Because the biggest achievement isn't always swimming across the pool.

It's finding the courage to get into the water! 💙

The one water safety rule every parent should know.

Before swimming begins, choose one adult to be the Water Watcher.

Their job?

Vacation plans usually include a pool. Does your swimmer's skill set match the itinerary? 🧳

Lessons at SafeSplash teach water safety alongside swim skills for infants, toddlers, kids, and adults. Starting before the trip gives your swimmer time to practice in a familiar pool first.

Parents, these three water safety mistakes can have serious consequences.

1. Mistake one: Assuming a child is safe because they have swimming lessons.

2. Mistake two: Depending on lifeguards or flotation devices instead of active supervision.

3. Mistake three: Walking away, even briefly, when children are near water.

Remember: Active adult supervision is essential.

A designated Water Watcher can make a difference.

Save this reminder: Your family's safety matters.

Water safety starts with awareness.

Never assume. Never leave children unattended around water.

Your child may know how to swim.

But here's something every parent should remember.

Swimming skills alone cannot eliminate drowning risk.

Children need to learn
-water safety,
-understand their limits and
-develop essential swimming skills.

And most importantly, they always need active adult supervision around water.

At SafeSplash, we believe water safety education should start early.

Always remember: Knowing how to swim is important. Knowing how to stay safer around water is equally important.

Let's make water safety a priority for every family. 💙

“My child is scared of the water. Can they still learn to swim?”

It's a question many parents ask—and the answer starts with patience. 💙

Children have different comfort levels. A supportive learning environment, gentle encouragement, and age-appropriate instruction can help them work toward their goals.

Never force a frightened child into the water.

Every little step forward deserves encouragement.
