It started out as a gorgeous day today when we took Rev to Stockholm Karting Center today, so we expected it to be super crowded. Turns out he was the only racer there! In the hour it took to get there, the winds kicked up and the temp dropped 15 degrees. But that didn’t stop us.

We were getting ready to leave after four sessions when a bunch of fellow racers from ProKart Burnsville showed up, so we had to stay - now Rev had some competition!!!

Klutch (one of the other ProKart drivers) showed everybody why he’s elite, constantly outpacing the pack, but all six drivers had their moments!

They're just kids.

Standing around in the pits, talking about who knows what, probably arguing about something that won't matter by next weekend.

And somewhere in between the races, the wrecks, the wins, and the losses, they're growing up together.

These are the friendships that don't need much explaining.

The ones built on long nights, early mornings, dirty hands, shared tools, borrowed parts, and a mutual understanding that most kids their age will never quite have.

They'll race against each other. They'll celebrate each other's wins. They'll watch each other have the worst nights of their lives and show up the next weekend anyway.

And one day, they'll look back at these pictures and realize they weren't just spending their weekends at the racetrack.

They were growing up with some of their very best friends.

And that's the thing about this sport.

Sometimes the best things it gives you have absolutely nothing to do with racing.

Everything is put away and winterized. We are looking forward next year, which will be our final year in Bandos. But just because we’re not racing at Elko , it doesn’t mean we’re sitting still. Rev is still racing at ProKart every week, and we’re making lots of plans ( which means lots of lists!) for what we want to do in 2027.

We finished very strong this year, and we’re doing everything we can to keep the momentum going!

Another ProKart milestone!

Rev cracked the top 10 in overall points! Points can be both earned and lost, so maintaining his spot will always be a challenge based on both his performance and the performance of others. But here we are right now and we’ll enjoy it!

Well, shoot…

This was our view when we got the notification that tonight’s Eve of Destruction was cancelled, and appropriately so.

But this is what we do - if we have a chance to race we will put forth every possible effort to make it, rain or shine. We spent several hours in the garage last night, preparing as we would for any race, and this morning we tied up all the loose ends that normally pop up on a regular race day.

We’re thankful that we have the opportunity to compete here at Elko, and we are looking forward to getting back on the track again!

I think our number one goal for next year is to finish a race with all four wheels and tires intact 🤪! After that, we’re gonna add to that win total!

We were out in the garage last night working a hard to get ready for one last race day today, weather permitting. Everybody pray that the rain goes away and that Rev can tear it up one last time in 2026!!!

What a great night!

Rev was super fast tonight, missing fastest qualifier by a mere .015 seconds.

Fast qualifier rolled a 6 and they did a reverse order from there, meaning Rev started in 5th place. He charged right up to the front, actually leading for a bit before settling into second place. A tangle with another car resulted in a lost valve stem on the LR tire, causing Rev to lose both power and handling. He pushed through, finishing a strong third place tonight.

We had to fight through a bit of adversity seemingly at every turn tonight, and Rev handled it like it was nothing. I’m so proud of this kid!!!

He practiced!!!!

Got down to a 15.8, but reported that the front end was loose. Sure enough - RF spindle nuts were a bit loose.

It’s a game of constant adjustments, adaptation, intuition, frustration, and Lady Luck.

Hoping to get a third practice!!!

Well…no practice THIS round. Rev said the car wasn’t accelerating. Turns out the back cylinder wasn’t firing. Limped it to the pits and threw in my last Autolite and both cylinders came to life!
