You’re showing up for your workouts. Are you giving your bones the nourishment they need, too? 💜🦴

When I talk about building a body that can carry your dreams, what’s on your plate belongs in that conversation.

Your bones help carry you through every walk, workout, adventure, and everyday moment. Let’s give them some support.

🥛 CALCIUM: BUILD THE FOUNDATION
Include foods like yogurt, milk, calcium-fortified plant milk, calcium-set tofu, or canned salmon with edible bones.

☀️ VITAMIN D: HELP YOUR BODY USE CALCIUM
Fatty fish and fortified foods can contribute. Ask your healthcare provider whether a supplement is appropriate for you.

💪 PROTEIN: SUPPORT BONES + MUSCLES
Include a protein source at each meal—eggs, fish, poultry, Greek yogurt, tofu, beans, or lentils. Strong muscles also help you stay steady and capable.

🍽️ ENOUGH FOOD: FUEL YOUR BODY
Chronic under-eating can work against bone and muscle health. Give your body enough nourishment to support the work you’re asking it to do.

Start with one meal:
Greek yogurt with berries and oats.
A tofu bowl with vegetables.
Salmon, broccoli, and a baked potato.

Small choices, repeated consistently, give you something to build on.

Nutrition is one part of bone health, alongside appropriate exercise, screening, and medical care when needed.

Have questions about putting these habits into practice? Send me a DM. Let’s find a starting point that fits your life.

Save this for your next grocery trip—and tell me: What’s one bone-supporting food you enjoy? 👇

Train your muscles. Nourish your bones.

Your bones are carrying you into your next chapter. Let’s give them some attention. 💜

Bone loss can happen quietly. Osteoporosis often has no symptoms until a fracture occurs—and as estrogen declines around menopause, bone loss can accelerate.

The good news? You can take steps to support your bones.

💪 MOVE FOR YOUR BONES
Weight-bearing activities, like walking and dancing, and resistance training help support bone health.

Love Pure Barre or Pilates? These workouts can contribute, too! Resistance from body weight, weights, bands, or springs challenges your muscles. Standing exercises provide weight-bearing activity, while strength, balance, and movement control support everyday function and help reduce fall risk.

The key: improving muscle strength doesn’t automatically mean increasing bone density. Barre and Pilates can be valuable parts of your routine, alongside progressively challenging resistance training and other appropriate weight-bearing activities.

🥗 NOURISH YOUR BODY
Get adequate calcium, vitamin D, and protein. Discuss supplements with your healthcare provider if you’re falling short.

🩺 KNOW YOUR RISK
A DXA scan measures bone mineral density. Routine screening is recommended for women 65 and older, and for younger postmenopausal women whose assessed fracture risk is increased.

If you have osteoporosis or a previous fracture, ask about exercise modifications before starting or changing your routine.

Protecting your bones supports the strength, mobility, and independence you want for the life ahead.

Have questions about movement, nutrition, or where to start? Contact Coach Jacki! I can help you explore practical habits and exercise options that support bone health, and work alongside your healthcare team when medical guidance is needed.

Yes, Sis. I eat carbs. And if you’re working on building muscle, they deserve a place on your plate, too. 😉🥣

Protein helps build and repair muscle. Carbohydrates help fuel the work!

Your body stores carbs as glycogen—energy your muscles use during exercise. Eating carbs also helps replenish those stores after training, especially when your workouts are long or close together.

That’s why oats, fruit, rice, potatoes, and whole-grain bread can all fit into a routine that supports your strength goals. 💪

Keep it simple:
🥣 Oats + Greek yogurt + berries
🍌 A banana + yogurt
🍚 Rice + chicken or tofu + vegetables

Your needs will vary with your training and goals. Start with balanced meals and enough nourishment to support the work you’re doing.

You’re building a body that can carry your dreams. Give it fuel. ❤️

What’s your favorite carb? Mine today is coming by the spoonful! 👇

Hey Sis, let’s talk about breaking the fast. 🥣💛

Breakfast is your first meal after an overnight stretch without food—a chance to give your body fuel and nourishment for the day ahead.

But is it really the “most important meal of the day”?

It can be an important part of YOUR routine. It’s also one part of your overall nutrition. What you eat throughout the day matters, too.

If skipping breakfast leaves you hungry, distracted, or scrambling for something to eat later, try planning a satisfying morning meal and notice how you feel. If you’re not hungry immediately after waking, you can give yourself some time.

My coaching tip: build a breakfast with protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, and some healthy fat. ✨

These Blueberry Banana Chia Seed Oats bring that combination together:
🥣 Oats and fruit for carbohydrates and fiber
🤍 Greek yogurt for protein
🌱 Chia seeds for fiber and healthy fats

Simple ingredients. A little preparation. One way to make caring for yourself easier.

Swipe for the recipe, and save it for your next breakfast! 👉

Are you team sweet breakfast, savory breakfast, or “coffee and I’ll figure it out later”? 😉 Tell me below!

You deserve a place where you can show up for yourself—and feel supported while you do. ❤️

Nutritious food and regular movement are meaningful parts of your wellness journey. So are connection, encouragement, and having people in your corner.

That’s what makes group fitness special, especially for women who spend so much of their day caring for others.

It’s someone learning your name. A familiar face beside you. An instructor helping you recognize what you’re capable of. And that little extra motivation to show up when your own motivation is running low.

Confidence can grow here, too. We learn from one another, celebrate progress, and challenge ourselves without turning someone else’s journey into a measuring stick. There’s room for everyone to grow.

When so much of life keeps us busy and apart, coming together can fill our spirits. At the barre, you can set down your work title and your to-do list for a while. You can be YOU.

Come join me and our team at Pure Barre Fishers. Bring your goals, your questions, and yourself exactly as you are. We’ll welcome you, help you find your footing, and cheer you on.

You might come for the workout and find friendships that keep you coming back. ❤️

We work hard to build careers, businesses, and lives we’re proud of. Our health helps us keep showing up for all of it. ❤️

As a wellness coach and owner of Pure Barre Fishers, helping people prioritize their health is at the heart of my work. I’m proud to carry that commitment into the American Heart Association’s Leaders of Impact campaign.

Today, I’m asking my network to join me by making a donation to support the American Heart Association. Would you consider contributing $25—or whatever amount feels right for you? I would be grateful for your support.

Thank you for helping me turn a commitment to wellness into action.
