June is one of the best months to be on the water. Every season is different. Snowpack changes the flows, hatches never happen at the same time, and the fish are always on the move. That’s what makes June so much fun. When everything comes together, some incredible fish are found.

This is one our client won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Salmonflies have been absolutely killer this year, and the fish have been absolutely gorging themselves on bugs. dries, explosive eats, and fish like this are what make this hatch so special. There really isn’t much better than watching a big fish come up and sip a size 6 fly.

Spring waters are heating up.

Last week’s funky runoff made things a little tougher, but we’re still finding fish and conditions are already starting to turn back our way. With flows dropping, spring fishing is shaping up well!

Flows bumped again this week, but it hasn’t slowed the bugs down. We’re seeing a few less noses on top for now, but it’s only a matter of time before fish really start keying in on these little guys. Stay ready—things are about to get good.
