WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, MALIK HARGROVE!

We are excited to announce the signing of Malik Hargrove.

Hargrove comes to Montgomery with a couple of years of pro outdoor and arena football experience, playing for teams like the Tulsa Oilers, Wheeling Miners, and Queretaro Black Roosters (LFA).

Before his time in the pro ranks, he spent his time in college at Guilford College.

In his time with the Quakers, he would absolutely stand out, recording 31 solo tackles, 9 TFLs, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble.

He is known as a bit of a “Swiss Army Knife” on the defensive side of the ball, with the ability to shut down gaps against the run game or drop into lockdown coverage.

He is yet another welcome addition to an already strong defensive roster!

Malik had this to say about joining the Catfish:

“I’m excited to challenge myself, build relationships with my teammates and coaches, and give everything I have every time I step on the field.”

The Catfish Staff and Organization is eager to see what he can accomplish in 2027.

WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, TYREER MILLS!

We are excited to announce the signing of WR Tyreer Mills.

Mills comes to Montgomery after time with the Pittsburgh Outlaws.

Over the past few years, Tyreer has earned his way up through the developmental ranks.

His ability to get open on offense and play lockdown coverage when called on on defense stands out as he is called up to the pro ranks.

The Harrisburg (PA) native has pure excitement for the next chapter of his football career in the higher-pressure pro ranks.

Tyreer is motivated not only to further his football career, but to honor his late grandmother.

He takes pride in his game, the city he plays in, and contributing to a championship culture; it’s a story and attitude towards the game that embodies what our organization is all about.

Tyreer had this to say about joining the Catfish:

“I’m very blessed for the opportunity and can’t wait to meet the organization and fans and give them a show each weekend.”

The Catfish staff and organization are excited to see what he can accomplish in 2027.

WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, QUINTAVIUS TWINE!

We are excited to announce the signing of Jack LB Quintavius Twine!

Twine has previously spent time playing for Duke City Gladiators and the Peach State Cats.

Known for his aggressive nature and very vocal attitude on the field, he is a welcome addition to an already strong defensive roster.

Before breaking into the arena football world in 2021 he spent the majority of his college career with Glenville State, starting eleven games while forcing a fumble and managing 50 solo tackles and two interceptions in those games.

His ability in the arena game differs from that of his time in college, while he played DB in college, he can play just about any up field position he is asked to in the fifty-yard game.

Not only is his attitude fantastic, he seems just as eager to put on for Montgomery, saying, “(I’m) Ready to give my all for a great program, a great coaching staff, & great community!”

WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, BRAYDON BESSE!

We are excited to announce the signing of WR Braydon Besse!

Besse comes to Montgomery after spending time with the Iowa Woo. Before breaking into the indoor football world in Iowa in 2026, he showed out at Independence Community College (yes, the one on Last Chance U), and then Colorado-Mesa for his final two seasons.

Braydon is known for his elusive route running and “no play off” mentality.

The two-year starter in college is just as humble as he is confident, looking at the chance to play for the Catfish as a “chance to showcase (his) talent with a great group of guys and great coaching staff.”

We as a franchise are eager to see Besse display his talent in 2027!

WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, TY PETTAWAY!

We are excited to announce the signing of WR Tiberius “Ty” Pettaway, also known as “Wolfman”!

Ty took an unconventional path into professional football, making his mark in arena football before being selected No. 2 overall in the 2026 AAL Draft. He spent time with Mississippi and Memphis this past season after winning titles with the 29ers and Peach State Cats, while leading both the GIFL and AAL2 in receptions and touchdowns.

At 6’4”, Ty brings size, reach, drive and the ability to make plays at the highest point. We’re excited to see what he brings to Montgomery as we build toward our inaugural 2027 season.

In Ty’s words:

“Sometimes you just gotta trust where life takes you. Montgomery feels right. I’m embracing it, I’m grateful for it… now it’s time to give the city something to talk about.”

Over the past week, we’ve started introducing you to some of the guys coming to Montgomery.

We believe our fans should get to see what’s happening and get to know the players who will be coming to training camp. We also want these players to have the opportunity to introduce themselves to our city and share their journey with the communities they’re coming from.

By the time they arrive in Montgomery, you’ll already know some of the players, where they’re from and what brought them here.

As we get closer to camp, we’ll be following some of these players in their own cities, taking you behind the scenes as they prepare and make their way to Montgomery.

There’s plenty more to come.

WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, JOSHUA HOLLEY!

We are excited to announce the signing of LB Joshua Holley!

Holley comes to Montgomery with experience across several arena and spring football leagues, including the TSL, CIF and AIF. Most recently, he suited up for the Ohio Valley Ironmen of the CoFL.

In 2027, Holley will bring his experience and physical style of play to the middle of our inaugural defense, where we expect him to be a key piece of the Catfish.

Off the field, Josh is passionate about faith, family and football. He also serves as a high school football coach during the fall, where he has the opportunity to mentor and lead the next generation.

As we build our inaugural roster, finding talented players who also understand leadership, character and the importance of being a teammate matters. We’re excited to have Josh in Montgomery and look forward to what he brings to the Catfish.

WELCOME TO MONTGOMERY, WILLIAM LANGFORD!

We are excited to announce the signing of WR William Langford!

A Newnan, Ga. native, Langford brings nearly a decade of professional football experience to Montgomery. After playing four years at the University of Pikeville, he went on to build an extensive professional career and now enters his eighth year in arena football.

Langford has been part of three championship runs during his career with the Columbus Lions, Corpus Christi and Omaha Beef. Now, he brings that experience to Montgomery as he looks to make another run at a championship in 2027.

Here’s what William had to say about joining the Catfish and what he hopes to accomplish with his new teammates:

“Since I lost in the 2025 championship, I been searching for another ship to get to help bring home. That’s why I’m here to help lead the way with the help of my teammates.”

That experience will be important as we build our inaugural team, and we’re excited to see what William brings to Montgomery in 2027.
