Snee Farm Swim Team

From the The Post and Courier this week! (correction to the article - the neighborhood was created in the 1960s, and Snee Farm Swim Team launched in 1971).

Snee Farm in Mount Pleasant is a lesser-known historic site in our own backyard Charles Pinckney purchased a 715-acre plantation in modern-day Mount Pleasant named Snee Farm in 1754 — at that time, it was considered to be in the country.

It is a long-standing tradition for team members to share their artistic talents to support their teammates, welcome other teams, and encourage spirited competition and sportsmanship.

One can find and recognize lots of legacy icons in posters through the years (Hunting the Wumpus, Flash Gordon, The Who, George Washington breakfasting at Snee Farm, Pinckney Leopards, Zebra Sharks, Lucky Bird, Bob Bagley Memorial Water Polo Game, and on and on!).

We are grateful for all of these beautiful expressions of SFST spirit!

Please enjoy these photos from the 13/14s and 15/18s afternoon session of the 2026 Championship Meet held at the North Charleston Aquatic Center! This session included the presentation of graduating seniors (slideshow of our swimmers in an earlier post), all individual events and relays, and the final team standings and other awards.

Building on the excellent results of the 7-12 year olds, our older swimmers swam fast, were gallant competitors, and supported each other vociferously. Congratulations to the swimmers and coaches on the Second Place Finish overall and the Red League Sportsmanship Award!

Kudos also to the Daniel Island Flying Fish for their 4th consecutive CCAA - Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association Championship and to all the teams, coaches, swimmers, parents, alums, neighborhoods, and fans for a fun and exciting season of summer swimming!

Independence Day is always spirit and activity-filled at Snee Farm. From the neighborhood parade to fun events at the pool, one can have a full day of celebrations of our country's birth. This includes the annual AM swim practice with trivia related to America's founding documents and history!

2026 featured a season that ended in June, so let us take a peek back to 2016 to learn more!

We all loved how well the 9/10s and 11/12s swam this afternoon! Lots of fast racing and excellent sportsmanship!

Kudos also to the coaches and volunteers (timing, orchestrating the livestream, officiating, etc.) for guiding and role modeling for our young people so they try their best, do their part to support the CCAA and summer swimming, cheer on their teammates, exude good sportsmanship, clean up after themselves and more. Good work!

Swim CCAA The 2026 Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association Championship Meet will take place Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28 at the North Charleston Aquatic Center.

The CCAA - Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association Championship Meet starts tomorrow (this Saturday and Sunday) at the North Charleston Aquatic Center! If you can't attend, you can catch the livestream of each session.
