Tonight, the curtains opened. After months of dedication, artistry, and preparation, Don Quixote finally takes the stage. A celebration of passion, beauty, and timeless storytelling, this production marks a truly special moment for Western Ballet as we honor our 50th Anniversary.
From the first rehearsal to this evening’s performance, every detail has been shaped with care by our dancers, faculty, artistic team, and the vision of Artistic Director Alexi Zubiria.

We are thrilled to announce that Nikisha Fogo, Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet, will take the stage as Kitri in our 50th Anniversary production of Don Quixote!
Nikisha Fogo is a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet. Born in Stockholm, she trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School before continuing her studies at The Royal Ballet School in London.
She began her professional career with the Vienna State Ballet, where she quickly rose through the ranks, performing leading roles including the title role in Sylvia by Manuel Legris, before joining San Francisco Ballet as a principal dancer in 2020.
Known for her versatility and expressive artistry, her repertoire spans both classical and contemporary works, including ballets by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Her work has been recognized with several international awards and distinctions.
