Revealing our final judge for the Byrd Tapes Analog Recording Contest, Vol 2: goffmoore!!

Goff is a local Nashville legend, someone who you truly must meet in person! I met him through gear - big surprise! Upon stepping foot in his private home studio, and after just a brief conversation, it was obvious that he holds a deep love for music and for the people who make it intentionally. His studio is set up with many small casual “stations” with samplers and keyboards alike for whenever inspiration may hit. I’ve only peeked in the control room. One would be lucky to create within its walls with him, and I know some amazing music has been made there.

We humbly welcome Goff into the fold to select his top picks from this year’s Byrd Tapes!

We’ve announced all our judges, and they will soon let us know their favorite projects!

Stay tuned for next announcements, which include the 3 top prizes for this year followed, by the contest winners!

We are so honored to welcome back the awesome Paul Moak for the Byrd Tapes Analog Recording Contest, Vol 2!

Paul is an amazing producer and engineer based in Nashville, and the amount of records he’s worked on is staggering! Not to mention he’s been back on the road recently shredding guitar with Ann Wilson Heart and tripsitter !! Paul is a huge gear head too and was a huge original inspiration for Byrd Finds.

We can’t wait for him to lend his ears to our contest for another year, and pick his top contestants!

We have just 1 more judge to announce for this years contest!! Stay close to see who it is 👀

Announcing our next Judge for the Byrd Tapes Analog Recording Contest, Vol 2: Dylan Alldredge Dylan Alldredge!!

Dylan is a powerhouse recording and mix engineer, and producer based in East Nashville! He’s worked on countless records in many different genres, and he shows no signs of slowing down. His modest but mighty studio Skinny Elephant is decorated with everything you could ever need to make music, and he always seems to know what tool to reach for! I’ve personally worked with him on a ton of music, and he never disappoints.

We are so humbled to welcome him into the fold for this year’s contest, and truly can’t wait to see which projects end up on his list!

2 more judges remain to be revealed, so stick around to see who else is part of this year’s judge lineup!!
