The Dance Extension

Join us in congratulating senior student, Lana G. as she graduates today from East Lyme High School!

Lana has been a dedicated member of the TDE family for 13 years, training in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She also spent four years as a Class Assistant in our Academy & Spotlight programs, sharing her leadership and love of dance with younger students. Lana has proudly performed with the Community Dance Ensemble, Inc.. for eight seasons.

In her own words: "My advice for young dancers would be to challenge yourself and that is when you will see growth. Always maintain a positive mindset and know that you are capable of anything."

In the fall, Lana will head to Villanova University as a Biochemistry major. We'll miss you, Lana! Visit often!

Join us in congratulating senior student Hadley H. as she graduates today from Ledyard High School!

Hadley has studied at TDE for the past 13 years taking classes in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and contemporary and served as a Class Assistant in our Academy & Spotlight programs for 7 years. She performed with the Community Dance Ensemble, Inc. for 8 seasons, and in May, Hadley was inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.

In her own words: "TDE has taught me many things-confidence, commitment, and perseverance. Through dance, I have learned to be confident in my skills and push myself to improve. I’ve learned to work hard even when it is difficult, and be persistent in order to achieve my goals."

In the fall, Hadley will head to Eastern Connecticut State University as a Nursing major! We can't wait to see what her bright future holds.
