Youth Run NOLA

Youth Run NOLA is an sports-based youth development program that support youth skills and movement!

Participants are guided by teacher-coaches at school-based chapters and volunteer running buddies at monthly events. Twice a week after school, students arrive at their school running sites prepared for a demanding, objective-aligned practice, replete with a continuing dialogue about and application of life skills, goal-setting, and leadership. Once a month, from September to April, students participate in a community race that exposes them to a new space and community in the city. Participants conclude the season by running the Crescent City Classic, and a subset complete the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon.

What a day at the Corporate Classic 5K! 🏃🏽‍♂️💜💛

Our Youth Run NOLA family showed up and showed OUT! From our runners and joggers to our walkers, coaches, volunteers, and families, everyone brought the energy and made this race one to remember!

And to top it all off, Youth Run NOLA took home the Largest Team Award in the Open Division! 🏆🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported our youth, and helped make the day such a success. Special thanks to Crescent City Classic for welcoming our Youth Run NOLA family and providing our youth with another opportunity to get moving, have fun, and be part of such a great event!

YRN OUTSIDE at the Corporate Classic 5K! 🏃🏽‍♂️💜💛

From warming up together to crossing the finish line, our Youth Run NOLA family showed up and showed OUT! The energy, smiles, and teamwork made this another race to remember!

And we didn’t leave empty-handed! 🏆 Youth Run NOLA took home the Largest Team Award in the Open Division! 🎉

A huge thank you to Crescent City Classic for welcoming our youth and creating another opportunity for us to run, have fun, and build community. And of course, thank you to our coaches, volunteers, families, and everyone who helped make the day possible!

We’ve added the Corporate Classic to the calendar, and there’s still plenty of time to join us outside this season.

Saturday park practices continue at City Park and on the West Bank, registration is still open, and we’ve got a full fall ahead of us.
