🐄 Capital de la Industria Lechera
¡Un récord mundial en producción de leche! Hatillo es considerado el mayor productor de leche por milla cuadrada de todo el planeta, generando un tercio de toda la leche que se consume en Puerto Rico.

🎭 Festival de Máscaras de Hatillo
El Festival de las Máscaras: Cada 28 de diciembre —día de los Santos Inocentes—, el pueblo se transforma en una explosión de color, con carrozas extravagantes y trajes tradicionales traídos por inmigrantes de las Islas Canarias en el siglo XIX.

🍲 Festival de la Olla
La olla más grande de Puerto Rico: En Hatillo se construyó una olla de acero gigante, de 8 pies de diámetro, capaz de cocinar más de 2,400 libras de arroz con gandules y carne; ¡suficiente para alimentar a todo el pueblo!

❤️ Hatillo del Corazón
Su nombre original: Cuando fue fundado en 1823, el pueblo recibió oficialmente el nombre de "Hatillo del Corazón de Riego", llamado así por la abundancia de árboles de *corazón* (una variedad de anona) que crecían en sus tierras ganaderas.

🏛️ Un emblema ganadero y costero: La bandera y el escudo del municipio muestran con orgullo vacas doradas, el océano Atlántico y la flor del árbol de *corazón*, reflejando tanto su identidad agrícola como su carácter costero.

🌊 Playa Sardinera
Playa Sardinera: Su litoral cuenta con piscinas naturales formadas por barreras rocosas, donde las olas rompen de manera espectacular, convirtiéndolo en un paraíso turístico único en la costa norte.

⛪ Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Carmen
Un lugar de importancia nacional: La emblemática iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, construida en 1879, figura en el Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos de los Estados Unidos como una joya arquitectónica.

• Cuna de grandes poetas: lugar de nacimiento del legendario poeta y músico José P.H. Hernández.

🐄 Capital of the Dairy Industry
A world record in milk production! Hatillo is considered the largest milk producer per square mile on the entire planet, generating one-third of all the milk consumed in Puerto Rico.

🎭 Hatillo Mask Festival
The Mask Festival: Every December 28th—the Day of the Holy Innocents—the town transforms into an explosion of color, featuring extravagant floats and traditional costumes brought by immigrants from the Canary Islands in the 19th century.

🍲 The "Olla" (Giant Pot) Festival
Puerto Rico’s largest pot: A giant steel pot, 8 feet in diameter, was built in Hatillo. It is capable of cooking over 2,400 pounds of *arroz con gandules* (rice with pigeon peas) and meat—enough to feed the entire town!

❤️ "Hatillo del Corazón"
Its original name: When founded in 1823, the town was officially named "Hatillo del Corazón de Riego," so called because of the abundance of *corazón* trees (a variety of *annona* fruit) that grew on its cattle lands.

🏛️ A symbol of its cattle-farming and coastal heritage: The municipality’s flag and coat of arms proudly display golden cows, the Atlantic Ocean, and the blossom of the *corazón* tree—reflecting both its agricultural identity and its coastal character.

🌊 Playa Sardinera
Playa Sardinera: The coastline here features natural pools formed by rocky barriers, where waves crash in spectacular fashion—making it a unique tourist paradise on the north coast. ⛪ Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (*Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Carmen*)
