Don’t panic! ❄️🐭🍬 There’s still time to audition for COYB’s The Nutcracker!

Whether your dancer has been counting down for weeks or just decided to give it a shot, this is your reminder to show up.

Dancers ages 8+ with at least one year of prior dance or gymnastics experience are welcome to audition. No prepared choreography and no previous Nutcracker experience are required, just come ready to move.

This year marks more than 30 years of COYB bringing this beloved story to stages across Central Ohio, and we can’t wait to see who joins the cast.

“I’ve never been in The Nutcracker before. Can I still audition?”

Yes! ❄️🐭🍬

Every year, dancers come to COYB auditions without a single Nutcracker credit to their name and leave cast as a soldier, snowflake, party guest, or one of the other 80+ roles!

Dancers ages 8 and up with at least one year of prior ballet or gymnastic experience are welcome to audition. No prepared choreography is needed, just come ready to dance.

Central Ohio Youth Ballet is thrilled to welcome Rachael Parini, retired BalletMet principal dancer, for a special masterclass offering dancers the opportunity to learn from a professional artist and experience professional-level training firsthand.

Thursday, September 3
5:00–6:15pm - Intermediate Masterclass (Level II)
6:30–7:00pm - Q&A with Rachael
7:00–8:30pm - Advanced Masterclass (Level III)

Dancers from throughout the community are welcome!

🩰 The Nutcracker Auditions | August 29
Be part of a Central Ohio tradition more than 30 years in the making! Auditions are open to dancers ages 8+ with at least one year of dance or gymnastics experience. No prepared choreography or previous Nutcracker experience is required.

✨ Master Classes with Rachael Parini | September 3
Join us for a special evening of master classes with former BalletMet principal dancer Rachael Parini. Step outside your regular training, learn from an accomplished professional artist, and leave the studio challenged and inspired.

💪 Progressing Ballet Technique® Classes | Saturday Mornings
PBT is now at COYB and open to area dancers! This specialized conditioning program complements traditional ballet training by helping dancers build strength, stability, alignment, and muscle memory that carries directly into their technique.

Whether you train at COYB or another studio, we’d love to have you join us.
