We are a community based fitness center open to Jefferson School Residents, Alumni, Employees and the community.

The Jefferson Recreation Center strives to develop a sense of community through multiple family and individual recreational opportunities. ❓ When does the season run?
November 10th, 2026 through March 2027.

❓ How much is registration?
$225 per swimmer.

❓ Where are practices held?
Jefferson Recreation Center (5707 Williams Rd, Newport, MI).

❓ What are practice times?
-Grades K–5: Tues & Thurs | 4:30–5:30 PM
-Grades 6–12: Tues, Wed, Thurs | 5:00–6:30 PM

❓ What if my child is new to the team?
They must attend Swim Night on November 5th (4:30–5:30 PM)!

This 5-week session runs every Friday at 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Recreation Center. What an incredible night at the Halloween Monster Bash 2026! A huge, heartfelt thank you to every family, ghost, and goblin who stuck through the storms with us ⛈️➡️✨. Your energy and enthusiasm made the whole evening amazing!

🏆 Best Decorated Car Contest
Calling all creative decorators! Set up your trunk for Trunk-or-Treating from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and stick around for 7:00 PM when our judges announce the winner for the best decorated vehicle!

Take your swimming to the next level this season with the Jefferson Aquatics Club! Designed for athletes in Grades 6 through 12, our program offers structured conditioning, stroke refinement, and team camaraderie.

Enjoy your week off! Session 2 of SilverSneakers® Circuit begins next week on Tuesday, November 3rd. Join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Jefferson Recreation Center, located at 5707 Williams Rd in Newport, MI. This 45-minute, intermediate-level session features low-impact cardio intervals alternated with upper-body strength training using tubing, handheld weights, and a SilverSneakers ball, with chairs offered for support.
