The Delmarva District of the ESA began in 1969 by a small group of Ocean City MD surfers, and its first Directors were Al and Skill Johnson. Today surfers from DE, MD and Virginia's Eastern Shore compete within the DELMARVA ESA District. Registration is still open for next weekend’s make-up surf contest at Assateague State Park.
A reminder: If you were registered for the June contest that was canceled, you’re automatically registered for next weekend’s event—no need to sign up again!
As we get ready for the July 11–12th contest, please keep these important reminders in mind:

🌊 If the forecast holds, we’ll have surf both Saturday and Sunday! There’s a possibility that Contest #1 will run on Saturday and Contest #2 on Sunday. If that happens, LiveHeats will be updated, and competitors will need to register on Saturday for Sunday’s event.

Due to the forecasted wave conditions this Sunday, we have made the decision to cancel this weekend’s contest.
All registered entries will automatically be transferred to our July contest, scheduled for July 25th or 26th (weather dependent).
Registration for the July event will remain open through July 23rd.
