“Excuse me, I get to vote.”
Imagine being told by doctors that you may not survive the next three hours.
That was the reality facing Deb Krier.
After a Stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis, septic shock, seven weeks in the hospital, and dozens of surgeries, Deb had every reason to feel like life was making decisions for her.
But she wasn't willing to surrender her voice.
In Episode 49 of Rebuild & Fulfill, we sit down with Deb Krier, cancer survivor, entrepreneur, speaker, and host of The Business Power Hour, for a conversation that goes far beyond surviving cancer.
We talk about the emotional toll of serious illness, the people who show up (and those who disappear), learning to ask for help, finding humor in the darkest moments, and refusing to let a diagnosis become your entire identity.
And one of my favorite moments was asking Deb what cancer didn't get to take from her.
Her answer?
Her personality. Her humor. Her voice. Who she is.
That's what makes this conversation so powerful.
Because while most of us may never experience what Deb has been through, we all face moments when life throws something at us that we didn't ask for and can't control.
And sometimes, the most important thing we can do is remember that we still have a voice in how we move forward.

You may not get to choose everything that happens to you. But that doesn't mean you stop having a say in what happens next.
