Is KPV changing their colors?! NO, we’re just offering more!!!

KPV Purple Teams are our developmental-focused teams, created for athletes who need more time, touches, confidence, and game experience to grow. Purple is about providing a positive environment where athletes can learn without feeling pressured to already have everything figured out.

The focus is on development over results: strengthening fundamentals, understanding the game, building confidence, learning how to compete, and preparing athletes for the next level within KPV, rec leagues, and even school volleyball! Purple teams will have a more manageable travel and tournament schedule, including local/regional events and developmental scrimmage opportunities, helping keep the experience accessible while still giving athletes meaningful competition.

Big skills start with little athletes!

We are SO excited to introduce Rising Royals, a developmental volleyball program designed specifically for BOYS & GIRLS ages 3–8!

Rising Royals is all about introducing our youngest athletes to the FUNdamentals of volleyball in an exciting, encouraging, and age-appropriate environment!

•Introduction to basic volleyball skills
•Developing hand-eye coordination
•Improving movement and motor skills
•Building confidence through social interaction
•Learning, playing, and having FUN!

Our goal isn’t perfect volleyball. It’s giving little athletes an opportunity to move, learn, make friends, and fall in love with the game!

👑 MONDAY NIGHT SKILLS ARE COMING TO KPV! 👑

We are SO excited about what we’re offering our athletes this season!

In addition to TWO individual team practices each week, KPV athletes will have access to up to 4 EXTRA HOURS of individualized skill training every Monday night! 🏐🔥

That means more opportunities to:
✨ Get extra reps
✨ Focus on individual positions and skills
✨ Build confidence
✨ Work on weaknesses
✨ Fine-tune strengths
✨ GROW outside of team practice!

And the best part? Monday Night Skills are included for our KPV travel athletes at NO additional cost! 💗🩵

Not playing travel with KPV? You’re invited too! Non-travel athletes can attend Monday Night Skills for $30 per day!

We said we wanted to create MORE opportunities for athletes to train, develop, and have access to quality volleyball instruction, and we’re putting that into action.

2 team practices + up to 4 additional hours of skills every week.

More gym time. More reps. More development. More opportunity. 👑

We are SO excited to officially announce that Bluegrass Fieldhouse is our new KPV practice AND tournament home! 💜🖤🏐🩷🩵

One of our biggest opportunities for growth last season was practice space. And one of our biggest lessons? When you grow FAST, you have to make sure your space grows with you.

We listened. We learned. And we made it a priority for Year 3.

✨ What this means for our KPV athletes:

🏐 NO shared team practices!
🏐 2 individual team practices every week!
🏐 Team Practices starting at 5pm and ALL practices being over at 8pm! (Mindful of our kids traveling from further distances to and from practice!)
🏐 An additional FOUR HOURS of skills training offered every Monday! (Monday skills training is included at NO additional cost for KPV players!)

👀 And we have a lot more to share about that soon!
Having the space to give every team dedicated court time while also creating MORE opportunities for individual development is something we are incredibly excited about.

And when we need even more room for our larger events, the Owensboro Convention Center will continue to serve as our backup tournament location or practice location!

Year 1, we started building.
Year 2, we learned what growth requires.
Year 3, we’re putting those lessons to WORK. 👑

💜👑We are excited to officially introduce Coach Ashanta and Coach Emma to the KPV coaching staff!👑💜

Coach “Tay” is ready to step into her own after serving as an assistant coach for KPV over the last two seasons. She brings valuable experience as an Owensboro High School volleyball alum and previously served as the Head Freshman Coach at Trinity in 2024. Beyond the court, she is also a proud mom to two beautiful girls. We are excited to watch her continue to grow as a leader and mentor within our program.

Coach Emma brings a wide range of playing experience from Owensboro Catholic, OVC, and KSA. Her volleyball background, combined with her enthusiasm for teaching the game, will help shape and develop our young athletes. We are thrilled to have her begin this new chapter on the coaching side of volleyball.
