A large majority of the members of Ole Miss Rugby had no prior rugby union experience before joining the club. All you need is an interest in learning to play, a mouthpiece, and a pair of cleats (no toe cleats), and we will teach you the rest! Welcome back coach Tim Goulding!

Coach Tim Goulding brings nearly 20 years of rugby playing and coaching experience to Ole Miss Rugby. He began playing at Indiana University before playing with men’s clubs throughout the Midwest. After entering graduate school at Ole Miss in 1994, he played three seasons as a scrum half and served as team captain.

Goulding became head coach of Ole Miss Rugby in 2004, leading the team to an impressive 82–18 record, including an undefeated season and appearances in the SEC Tournament and USA Rugby South finals.

Goulding’s coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, development, teamwork, and helping student-athletes reach their potential. He lives near Oxford with his family and enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
