Live scan clinic for APP Class 53!

Interested APP participants got a free live scan and will work with our on-site Coordinating Attorney to expunge qualifying convictions. This process can support community members in securing housing, employment, and more going forward.

As part of the APP’s employment readiness curriculum, participants practice introducing themselves and their experience to get hired in a powerful and quick 30 seconds!

Team Youth of Promise at the 5K this weekend! ✨👟💜

After weeks of training, the YOP Girls on the Run team took their victory lap this weekend at the official 5K. We’re so proud of these youth for accomplishing this goal!

& a HUGE thanks to for the donation of running shoes that prepared this team for the big day.

APP 5️⃣3️⃣ Orientation next week!

Second Chance Month came to a close yesterday, but our work to provide crucial opportunities is year-round.

The APP is a 10-week program designed to train justice-impacted community members for careers in the union construction trades. Join us for program orientation on either:
- Tuesday, May 5th at 9am OR
- Thursday, May 7th at 9am

Our final Second Chance Month event last night—Arts Beyond Incarceration: a Panel & Community Conversation.

“As I processed the gravity of a life sentence, writing was a blessing for me. That’s what helped me get through all those years,” shared Anton Allison, one of our panelists.

More to come on about this event and Second Chance Month overall, but we want to first thank the panelists for everything they shared, and send our gratitude to everyone who came out to listen.

Arts Beyond Incarceration—an engaging panel and conversation—will encapsulate the spirit of this event series. Resilence, creativity, and the power of opportunities.

The panel will feature local leaders and artists in conversation about their unique experiences of justice involvement and the art they create.
