Martial Arts is my life! When teaching the children's class last week it brought back memories of when I was a kid learning martial arts.
I started at 7 years old learning Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Isshin Ryu Karate, 7 Star Praying Mantis, Choy Lay Fut. I also studied Jow-Ga Kung-Fu under Grandmaster Dean Chin in Washington DC (Chinatown) and Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis under Grandmaster Chan Poi. In fact, I was a certified instructor (Sifu) under Grandmaster Chan Poi and I taught the Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis Kung-Fu system for many years at my school. Then I decided to continue my martial arts journey by becoming a student of Grandmaster Shum Leung and learning the Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung-Fu system. I have been very blessed to have awesome instructors in my martial arts journey.
My credentials have always been able to be verified. I find it funny that individuals wait for my Sifu to pass before posting any questions. I guess they weren't man enough to do so when Sifu was here. Especially since I've been stating the same thing long before his passing. It's also funny that the person talking the loudest is the same person that left my Sifu's Ying Jow Pai organization in shame by being labeled a thief. Yes, stealing from your Sifu is considered a major sign of disrespect.
My path is clear and I know my direction, at the request of my Sifu Shum Leung, I will continue to teach and propagate the Northern Shaolin Eagle Claw Kung-Fu system (Grandmaster Shum Leung's lineage) until I retire.
