It's time to start getting ready for the 2027 baseball season!

The Peabody Babe Ruth Baseball League Annual Meeting will take place:

2027 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The current list of nominees for the 2027 Board is below:

• President – Jarrod Hochman
• Vice President – Don Ligh
• Treasurer – Don Ligh
• Player Agent – Pedro Delgado
• Secretary – Ed Colbert
• Umpire-in-Chief – Mark Nemeskal
• Prep League Director (13-year-old division) – OPEN
• Major League Director (14–16-year-old division) – Ben Applebaum
• Equipment Director – Peter Lemole
• Technology Director – Ed Colbert

Interested in getting involved?

We are still accepting nominations for board positions! Anyone interested in nominating themselves or someone else should email [email protected] as soon as possible.

Although the regular nomination deadline has passed, late nominations will be accepted until the Annual Meeting begins. Nominations will officially close at that time.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2027

Following the election, the new Board will review league finances, discuss anticipated expenses, and establish participation fees for the 2027 Spring Season.

Whether you're a parent, coach, volunteer, or simply someone who cares about the future of Peabody Babe Ruth Baseball, everyone is welcome!

Don’t be forced to cut your sleeves! Reminder as the weather turns colder, anyone who pitches with sleeves must have sleeves that are solid (not patterned) and the solid sleeves cannot be white or gray in color. This is a rule at every level of baseball, even MLB as evidenced by the picture

🌧️ FIELD CLOSURE EXTENDED👎

What a weekend! While the South Shore got the worst of it compared to us North Shore folks, 2.37" of rain in Peabody is nothing to sneeze at either. The rain may have stopped, but our fields are still dealing with the aftermath. The fields remain wet and need additional time to dry out before they can safely handle games and practices.

The field closure has been extended through 9/29 per order of the City of Peabody.

Therefore, unfortunately, all games and practices on Peabody fields are cancelled for Tuesday, September 29.

We know everyone is itching to get back out there, and we are too! We’ll continue to monitor the conditions and provide an update as soon as we know when we can get back on the fields.
