What a summer on the course for our participants! ☀️ ⛳

Our 2026 Tournament Series brought together 350 boys and girls ages 10–18 for a summer of competition, plus 81 participants ages 7–9 who took part in the Drive, Chip & Putt Contest.

A special thank you to the incredible courses that welcomed our participants and gave us the opportunity to host tournaments at their facilities this summer. We’re so grateful for your partnership and support!

With programming now underway in Atlantic and Cape May Counties and new locations coming soon to Cumberland County, we’re proud to be bringing First Tee opportunities to more young people and communities.

August was a great reminder that golf is about so much more than playing the game. It’s about creating opportunities, building connections, exploring careers, and bringing people together.

From the Tea Time Girls Golf Tournament & Fashion Show and our Back to School Bash to the Philadelphia Youth Network and WesGold Fellows visits, the Greenskeeper Pathway Program, Kids on the Hill, our Junior Championship, and First Tee participants serving as Standard Bearers at the U.S. Amateur, there was no shortage of action. And, of course, plenty of programming was happening at all of our amazing program locations!

A big upgrade is complete at Walnut Lane!

Our new double-row irrigation system will allow us to water the course more efficiently and provide more consistent coverage throughout the course. This means healthier turf, improved playing conditions throughout the season, and the ability to better maintain areas that have historically relied on an irrigation system that was over 50 years old.

We know this project required some temporary adjustments on the course, including hole closures throughout the installation process. Thank you to our golfers for your patience and understanding as this important work was completed. We're excited to have the new system up and running and look forward to the continued improvement to the course conditions our golfers will notice!

Meet Dylan! 🤝

Dylan is a caddie at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club and is heading into his senior year of high school. Next year, he'll be applying for the Platt Scholarship, but first, he needs your help!

To qualify, Dylan needs to complete 30 loops this year, and he's already halfway there. If you're playing at Whitemarsh Valley, request Dylan as your caddie and help him reach his goal!

This summer, we were proud to create more opportunities for young people in our community to grow and experience the game of golf!

Through our partnerships with schools and community organizations, we welcomed students from across the region for time on the course, connection and fun. We’re grateful to everyone involved who makes these opportunities possible and helps us expand access to golf throughout our community! ☀️ 💚
