Your highlight tape is getting ignored by college coaches. The one type of video they actually watch is -

Coaches get hundreds of highlight tapes. They all look the same: just goals, big tackles, and fancy dribbles.

They’re over-edited and they don’t show the full picture. A coach can’t tell what your decision-making is like, how you react after losing the ball, or what your work rate is off the ball. It’s just the good stuff, and they know it.

What they really want to see is unedited game footage. A continuous 10-15 minute clip of you playing. No cuts, no slow-motion, no music. They want to see your positioning, your communication, your recovery runs when you make a mistake, and your first touch under pressure.

They want to see the real you as a player.

and it’s simple to get. Have a parent or a friend film from a high angle, like the top of the bleachers, so they can see the whole field. Tell them to just keep the camera on you for a full 10 or 15 minutes of a game.

Don’t zoom in and out. Just a stable, wide shot that shows how you move and interact with the game.

That single clip is more powerful than any highlight tape you could ever make because it shows a coach exactly how you’d fit into their team. It’s authentic, it’s honest, and it’s what gets you noticed.
