Satori Dojo Martial Arts and Karate Instruction for Kids and Adults in Phoenixville, PA

Since 1994, hundreds of students and adults in Phoenixville and the surrounding communities have benefited from Satori Dojo, not only from the physical activity normally associated with martial arts training, but also from the sense of community we provide for our students, and the tremendous personal growth in such areas as self-control, determination, modesty, and a having a non-defeatest attitude. Beginning with our youngest students (age 6), we teach social skills, such as the importance of being patient, friendly, courteous, and compassionate. We specifically teach how to avoid conflict, and how to verbally de-escalate a potential confrontation, important skills for people of all ages.

Sensei Revvy is learning the tonfa! The tonfa finds its origins in the armed component of Okinawan martial arts (kobudo) where it is known as the tunkua. It consists of a stick with a perpendicular handle attached. Tonfa are traditionally wielded in pairs and inspired modern police side-handle batons.
