It is with great concern that I share the news that Sister Candace's health has taken a serious turn.

Please join University Chaplain Father Peter Horton and members of the La Roche University community in prayer for our president, Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., today, May 22 at 2 p.m. in Magdalen Chapel.

In the tradition of La Roche, let us surround her with prayers for peace and comfort in her time of need.

Statement from Howard J. Ishiyama, Ph.D., Acting President and Provost for La Roche University:

“The La Roche University community is heartbroken. We have lost our leader, our mentor and our friend.

We are remembering Sister Candace for her caring nature, her efficient and direct leadership and her love of life. She was an academic scholar who took pride in seeing students succeed. She loved the La Roche community and the Sisters and Associates of the Congregation of Divine Providence.

In her personal life she was happiest cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates and caring for her two dogs, Jack and PJ. Her spirit will live on at the University.”

Annual Golf Outing | La Roche University La Roche University’s annual golf outing – the Scott Lang Memorial Classic – will be held on June 5, 2023 at Shannopin Country Club. Proceeds will benefit the Athletic programs. Last year’s outing provided over $42,000 and we hope to exceed that this year. Please consider joining us!

A big congratulations to LRU Baseball's Nathan Stutz! The senior has been named to the AMCC All-Conference First Team as the Designated Hitter. This is Stutz's second year in a row receiving all-conference honors.

Two La Roche Softball players were named to the AMCC All-Conference Third Team this morning! A big congratulations to Kennedi Winslow and for the second consecutive year in a row, Garrah Milochik. These two will be returning next season and we can't wait to see what they're going to do!

Wishing a Happy Mother's Day to our La Roche community! Raising student-athletes is hard, and we're thankful for all the moms out there supporting ours!
