Attention Youth Climbers + Families! Two big things:
1️⃣ We are holding a low pressure youth competition at ASCEND Point Breeze this Saturday 8/22! All climbers 14 and under of all abilities are encouraged to register!
2️⃣ We need a few more volunteer judges to help run the event. No experience needed, and we have a few thank you gifts for you!

This year, ASCEND has teamed up with The Goat Fort and The Niagara Climbing Center to bring you our inaugural Recreational Youth Competitive Bouldering Series for the region: The Rustbelt Roadtrip Redpoint Series (R3S). Join us on Saturday, August 22nd for the main event at ASCEND Point Breeze, where we need your support!
We are seeking 10 volunteer judges for each session (9:30 AM - 12 PM | 1 PM - 3:30 PM). As a judge, you'll be assigned to a climbing lane to guide the kids on where to climb and help score their performance. We’ll gather on the competition day before each session for a brief overview of judging and scoring, so no prior experience is required. If you're interested in helping create an unforgettable competition day for these young climbers, we’d love your involvement in nurturing their passion for this fantastic sport!
