Under New Management! We welcome both quad skaters and inline skaters alike.

Thunderbird has been a Plano tradition for over 44 years and is family owned and operated. There have been several changes over the past years, but since December 2013 new management has been in place and we are committed to maintaining the fun atmosphere that so many have enjoyed over the years and then some! At Thunderbird we work to provide a fun, safe, and friendly place for people of all ages

Mom Review: Thunderbird Roller Rink Thunderbird Roller Rink isn’t just a Plano staple; it’s a true ode to the classics. And let’s face it, rollerskating is always a win, young or old. (Though, after a few wipeouts, let’s agree the “old” recover a little slower 😂.) What’s even better? They keep it LOW and AFFORDABLE. Snacks and drinks for six people—$24! Admission + Skate Rental • Own skates: $8 • Quad skates: $10 • Inline skates: $13 • Spectators: $2 • Skate aides (a.k.a. walkers): $3 Mom Tips: 🛼 Bring your own skates to save $$$. 🛼 Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, but don’t worry—the snack bar is super affordable. 🛼 Lockers are available for valuables, or use a free cubby for shoes. 🛼 Have shoe sizes ready for the skate counter, it gets busy! 🛼 If you rent a skate walker, take a photo of your number in case it gets misplaced. 🛼 Wear good socks that cover your ankles. 🛼 Remind kiddos that walker skaters must stick to the white walls. 🛼 Athletic gear is a must. 🛼 Arrive at opening for primo parking, or prepare to hunt for a spot in the old school lot.
