Not sure about you, but I've noticed something VERY interesting!

EVERY TIME I post a reminder to VOTE, suddenly all these hateful comments show up!

So I got curious and checked out some profiles.

Less than 1K followers. THOUSANDS of posts. Commenting on almost every election post!

And the profile pictures? Trucks, Jesus, American flags, guns... You know. .

I'm not saying they're all bots, but COME ON!!!

Then come the personal attacks about me being GAY and ASIAN.

OMG!!! You DO realize I lived in TEXAS for THREE DECADES, right?

You think I haven't heard all this before? LOL!

My tolerance is SO HIGH now! I'm not wasting my energy on people who just want to spread hate.

After moving to Oregon, I've learned to appreciate even more what it means to live authentically.

And I want to keep doing my little part!

You can fill my comments with hate, but you won't silence my voice!!!

NOVEMBER 3 IS ALMOST HERE!!!

Regardless of where you live, PLEASE VOTE!!!

Care Bear Stare? More like Care Bears SCARED!

OMG!!! We went to Nightmare Factory in Salem, Oregon, and I swear I haven't screamed and laughed this much in YEARS!

We were SO impressed!

And how cool is this?

Nightmare Factory is actually at the Oregon School for the Deaf, and it's been around since 1987, helping support student programs!

Freaking love it!!!

One BIG tip if you're going:

SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON THE FAST PASS!

This is exactly what I LOVE about exploring Oregon.

Finding these random, fun, unique experiences and making memories together!

I got this $180 bag at the Goodwill Bins for less than $5 And I have a thrifting secret to share!

So... after my first Goodwill Bins adventure, I got curious and started researching some of the stuff I bought.

Turns out, this bag I paid less than $5 for (they charge by weight) retails for around $180 BRAND NEW!

And as someone who spent over a decade in marketing, I realized something...

Here's a little secret most people overlook when thrifting.

Don't automatically skip items with COMPANY LOGOS!

Think about it. How many times have you received a backpack, jacket, cooler, or travel bag from work or a corporate event?

And when you leave that company, you donate it because... why would you want to advertise for them anymore?

I've done it too! Oh I trashed them deal quick. Lol.

But here's what most people don't always realize.

Companies sometimes spend a lot of money on high-quality, name-brand products for their employees, executives, and valued customers.

And just because there's a company logo on it doesn't mean the product is cheap!

In fact, that logo might be the very reason nobody else wants it.

Their loss. Your treasure!

Now... I know some professional thrifters are probably going to hate me for giving away all the secrets!

But you know what?

I've always believed there's enough opportunity and abundance out there for all of us.

Someone else's win doesn't take away from mine.

And if I discover something that could help someone else save money, find joy, or score an amazing deal... why wouldn't I share it?

That's just who I am.

Plus, finding treasure is fun. But helping someone else find theirs? Even better! It's a win win situation!

I went to the Goodwill Bins for the FIRST TIME… and OMG, it's like Black Friday meets a treasure hunt!

Why did nobody tell me this place is SO MUCH FUN?!

And you know what my favorite part is?

When they roll out fresh bins of stuff, everyone lines up, waits, and then DIGS IN!

I swear, I get just as much joy watching people hunt for treasures as I do finding my own. It's a whole experience!

And here's my $19 haul:

A backpack with SO MANY compartments!

A How to Train Your Dragon dragon!

A travel neck pillow

A fancy cooler bag

Reusable grocery bags + one big cooler bag

A puzzle

ALL FOR $19!!!

I love that we're giving things a second life while having a little adventure.

Sometimes the simplest experiences bring the most unexpected joy.

Portland, you keep surprising me!

A year ago, Portland was a new beginning for us. Today, I get to watch my husband's dream come to life.

And I don't think I could be any prouder.

It's been a little over a year since Mike started teaching yoga here in Portland.

I've watched him grow, challenge himself, build friendships, and find a deeper sense of purpose doing something he truly loves.

But what has touched me the most is watching him flourish into a version of himself that I don't think either of us could have imagined just a few years ago.

Over the past year, I've also watched Mike and Sunray pour their hearts into co-creating Bodha Yoga, a new yoga studio in downtown Portland.

I've seen the excitement, the long hours, the conversations, the uncertainty, and all the little steps that turn an idea into something real.

As someone who has built multiple businesses before, I know how much courage it takes to create something from nothing.

And watching my husband go through that journey has reminded me why I believe so deeply in following our passions, no matter what chapter of life we're in.

Sometimes we move to a new city hoping to find a new life. And somewhere along the way, we discover more of ourselves.

Portland has given us so much in such a short time.

Friendship.
Community.
Inspiration.

And most importantly, a place where we feel we belong.

For that, I'm incredibly grateful.

And TODAY, we celebrate the GRAND OPENING of Bodha Yoga!

Because staying active and feeling good in our bodies should be something we can enjoy at every age.

But today, more than anything, I just want to celebrate my husband and everyone who helped bring this dream to life.

Mike, I'm so proud of you. Not just for what you've accomplished, but for the person you continue to become.

And Portland, thank you for welcoming us and giving us a ace to keep growing.

Come celebrate with us today! I'd love to see some familiar faces and meet some new Portland friends.

While most of Portland is sleeping, I'm having my daily meeting with myself.

I'm usually up around 4 AM. It's still pitch dark outside, and there's something peaceful about watching the city lights while Portland slowly wakes up.

Over the past year, I've developed a morning routine that has become really important to me.

I journal, meditate, reflect on how I'm feeling, and plan my day.

Some mornings, my mind is full of ideas and excitement. Other mornings, it's full of anxiety, uncertainty, and a million things I think I need to figure out.

I'm learning to give myself space for both.

Especially as I'm navigating a new chapter of life, building a business, and figuring out what comes next.

One thing I've realized is that I don't need to have everything figured out before I start my day. I just need to show up for myself.

And watching Portland slowly come alive reminds me that every day is another opportunity to begin again.

Now I'm curious! What's YOUR morning routine?

It's been ONE YEAR since I became a plant daddy! And look at my babies!!!

Fall is here, and I need HELP!

Do I keep these plants going or pull them out and start my winter garden?

I LOVE winter gardening the most as there is No watering needed thanks to Portland rain.

Don't turn Blue Oregon into Red Texas!!!

You have just 3 DAYS left to register to vote! October 13 is the voter registration deadline.

Portland, we love you. And we want to keep you the way you are.

After nearly 30 years in Texas, Mike and I moved here looking for more than beautiful scenery. We were looking for a place where we could truly BELONG.

And what made us fall in love with Portland wasn't the mountains or waterfalls. It was the PEOPLE.

The kindness. The inclusion. the value. The people who aren't afraid to stand up for one another, even when it doesn't affect them personally.

As a gay Asian immigrant, I know what it's like to feel different, to be judged, and to fight for acceptance.

That's why seeing people stand up for democracy, equality, human rights, and against discrimination means so much to me.

Portland isn't perfect. But I love that so many people here care enough to speak up and try to make it better.

Because a community isn't defined by who fits in. It's defined by how we treat those who are different from us.

That's the Portland we fell in love with. And that's the Portland we want to help preserve.

This is absolutely DISGUSTING and DISTURBING. What the HELL are we becoming?

Not our typical happy Portland post, but I saw this today and couldn't stay silent.

America's last fully public ex*****on was 90 YEARS AGO. Now our government wants to LIVESTREAM one?

Public ex*****ons were documented in Afghanistan and Iran in 2025.

Are we seriously bringing back public ex*****ons and calling it JUSTICE?

The victims deserve justice. But when did watching someone die become a spectacle?

This isn't strength. It's barbaric.

And if this doesn't disturb you, what will?
