SOOTHE & MOVE: A caregiver and child yoga class with Julie of Roots Up!

Family Soothe & Move is a playful caregiver-and-child class that uses evidence-based mind/body tools to help children and the adults who care for them regulate their nervous systems through movement, mindfulness, and connection.

Each class weaves together movement, games, music, breathing exercises, mindful moments, and guided imagery that are thoughtfully designed to support emotional regulation, body awareness, and resilience in ways that feel joyful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.

Through shared experiences, caregivers and children have opportunities to slow down, connect, and practice gentle nervous system regulation together. Caregivers leave with simple, evidence-based tools that support co-regulation and help create moments of safety, connection, and calm that can be woven into everyday life.

Designed for children ages 3–10 and their caregivers.

2027 FOUNDATIONAL YTT - A 200+ Hour Yoga Teacher Training

⚡️CURRICULUM BREAKDOWN ⚡️ ASANA

Next, we are taking closer look at the Asana portion of our curriculum. Asana means a seat or posture in Sanskrit and is one of The Eight Limbs (more on The Eight Limbs later!).

In modern/western practice, this is typically what we think of when we hear the word yoga. Asana is potentially the path first taken when we first discovered our yoga practice. In our curriculum we will cover…

    •    Applied Anatomy
    •    Functional Movement
    •    Spectrums of Alignment
    •    Clear and Direct Cueing
    •    Hands-On Assists

EMBODIED CREATIVITY: A YOGA & WRITING WORKSHOP

Saturday, September 26
2:00-4:00 PM with Miranda Skye & Emma Reynolds

PYP DOWNTOWN

Embodied Creativity blends gentle yoga, guided meditation, and reflective writing to support creativity, clarity, and self-connection. Through accessible movement and breath, you’ll create space in your body and nervous system. From that grounded place, you’ll be guided through simple writing prompts designed to help you explore what’s present for you—without overthinking, pressure, or the need to produce anything “perfect.” This is not a performance-based writing workshop, and there’s no expectation to share your writing unless you want to. The focus is on process over product: noticing sensation, emotion, and thought, and allowing words to emerge organically from that awareness.

No prior yoga or writing experience is required. This space is welcoming of all bodies, backgrounds, and creative identities. Whether you’re feeling creatively blocked, emotionally full, or simply craving a few hours of quiet reflection, this workshop offers a gentle, supportive container to reset and reconnect. You’ll leave feeling more settled in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to your own inner rhythms and creative energy.

In the coming days, we are going to take some time to breakdown each topic of our curriculum. We hope this provides you the chance to better understand the nuances and depth of our curriculum.
    •    What is Adaptive Yoga?
    •    What does the mentorship segment of this training look like?
    •    What is Q***r & Trans Ahimsa?
    •    How do Yoga Philosophies and Social Justice weave together?

In the slides above, we will breakdown the Teaching Methods topic of our curriculum - the nuts and bolts of sequencing and teaching.

Next up, we take a close look at the Asana portion of our curriculum.

We begin in January! Put your deposit down and start your free membership & payment plan now! 🔗 in bio!

NEW BY-DONATION CLASS ✨ COMMUNITY REIKI

held the third Tuesday of every month

reiki + rest

7-8pm at PYP DOWNTOWN

A space for stillness, rest, and the experience of resting in community. Reiki is a Japanese energy practice rooted in the belief that working with universal life energy can support relaxation, balance, and a sense of wellbeing.

You can expect guided meditation and Reiki offered collectively to the group, with the opportunity to opt in to a brief one-on-one Reiki experience. We’ll spend time resting alongside one another, with suggestions for using studio props to make yourself as comfortable as possible on the floor. Resting in a chair is always an option if getting down to the floor isn’t for you.

This offering is by donation, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Come as you are and take what you need from an hour of stillness and rest.

Please register for free ✨ Donations taken via cash, check or Venmo at the desk

✨ MOVEMENT IN STILLNESS: RESTORATIVE YOGA TEACHER TRAINING ✨

October 3rd & 4th with Margo Rosingana

Margo’s annual Restorative YTT is about 1 month away! Join her for this weekend immersion of all things Restorative Yoga, including the exploration of the the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of Restorative Yoga while integrating principles from Ta***ic philosophy, neuroscience, and the subtle body.

A bit more about Margo!
As a yoga teacher, Margo (she/her) strives to bring thoughtfulness and sensitivity to the yoga space so that students may attend to their own inquiry and get what it is they need from the practice. The classes she teaches combine detailed alignment, fluid breath, somatic movement, and heart-based themes. In addition to her experience as an instructor, she facilitates a signature Restorative yoga teacher training program.

Margo has an intense curiosity to understand what it means to be human. She is inspired by people’s resiliency and creativity and the ways that they embody their truth through writing, movement, music & art. Margo is currently enrolled in the Master’s of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Goddard College in Vermont where she is studying body-based psychotherapy.

Nicaragua 2027! A yoga retreat with Victoria & Elizabeth at Costa Dulce 🐒☀️🌊💆🍍🧘

Returning again to Costa Dulce Eco Lodge for the fourth year in a row, we couldn’t be more excited for another week soaking up the sun.

In the cool of the morning, we will spend our time before breakfast in workshop-style asana breakdowns which will refresh and refine your yoga practice. Lead by Elizabeth, who guides yoga teacher trainees in their anatomical understanding of our shapes every year, be prepared to leave with new skills and approaches to how you flow.

In the heat of the afternoon, Victoria will lead us in breathwork, guided meditation, and gentle practice to deepen our relationship to the less physical side of our yoga practice. We will explore the deeper philosophical themes of our practice, why we show up, and how we want to apply the roots of yoga in our everyday life.

Included in the price is accommodations, transportation to and from Costa Dulce from either the Managua Airport or Liberia Airport, three meals a day and pre-breakfast coffee, tea, and fruit, and either a spa treatment or a surf lesson.

Optional trips into town, jungle walks, boat excursions and expanded spa experiences are at your fingertips, and reasonably priced (although we always recommend overtipping our generous hosts).

Two weeks to choose from:
☀️ Mar 21-28 *only 2 spots remain!
