Adaptive Sports Connection honors our nation’s veterans for their service and sacrifice in recognition of Veterans Day 2024. With a mission to help those with disabilities experience the freedom and sense of adventure of adaptive sports, ASC supports veterans year round through our warrior sports programs. We are committed to helping veterans thrive and positively impact their physical and mental health. Whether it’s mountain biking, kayaking, or water/snow skiing, we are excited to expand programming to reach additional veterans over the next several years. Our aim is to connect with more vets from across the state, bringing them life-enhancing opportunities through sports, recreation, and community.
Cheers to all of our veteran athletes and volunteers who took part in the many Veterans Day events in central Ohio this year. Thanks to the Village of Shawnee Hills and the City of Delaware for inviting ASC to be a part of the celebration!

Oh what a special night it was at ASC's inaugural Boundless Bash! Old and new friends came together, bringing their energy, positivity, and generosity, to make this event a powerful celebration of the human spirit. Master of Ceremonies Bobby Carpenter brought his message about the life-enhancing qualities of sports to the packed audience. With a rousing rendition of the National Anthem to start the evening, guests were moved by Dan Nevins, U.S. Army Veteran and double amputee, who shared how adaptive sports saved his life after recovering from injuries sustained in combat. Then the Power Chords, the multi-talented CEO and executive band, had everyone singing and dancing to close out a night to remember!
Congratulations to Nationwide, recipient of the Champion of Ability award in recognition of the organization's dedication to ASC's Power of Ability campaign. And thanks to Big Lots as the presenting sponsor for Bash.
On behalf of the adaptive athletes we serve, ASC thanks everyone who helped to make Boundless Bash such a success.

What do you get when you combine beautiful weather, water, and medical residents from OhioHealth needing a break from studying? A well deserved day of Kayak Olympics. From kayak tug-o-war and racing to speed round corn hole and air archery, they competed as teams to take home the gold cup. The unofficial sport of splashing each other seemed to be a favorite.
“We had a great time yesterday! It was the happiest I have seen this group in a while. Thanks to you and your team for such a wonderful experience!” -Karen D’Angelo, MD, Associate Program Director
