Summer racing in Oregon just got even better.
The Oregon Racing Commission has officially announced the $40,000 Jockey Incentive Program for Summer 2026, and the details remain the same as last year for all Oregon summer fair race meets.
If you’re planning to ride this season, be sure to check the Horsemen’s page on the Oregon Racing Commission website for full program details and eligibility.
We’re excited to welcome jockeys from across the region for another incredible summer of fair racing, great competition, and unforgettable nights under the lights.

For 81 years, the Crooked River Roundup has stood as a symbol of grit, tradition, and the western way of life in Prineville, Oregon.
This year, to help keep that testament alive, our rodeo is proudly sponsored by American Hat Company! As we ride into the arena, we carry grit, tradition, and that ultimate standard.

Circa 1958 during a time when grit was proven the hard way.
This first photo is of War Paint, known for his power, shedding a rider just out of the chutes. It was said few could make it past his first three jumps. Off to the right, legendary stock contractor Bobby Christensen Sr. He rides as pickup man.

This second photo taken the same day, a moment frozen in time. The story handed down in the family is that this is believed to be NFR bucking horse Northwestern. As you can see this horse is rising above the 7-foot wooden chutes!
