⭐🏆RAXX 9-BALL MAIN EVENT RESULTS
1st/2nd Split — Kirill (Kenny) Rutman & Jose Ortega
🥇Kirill Rutman
Kenny has never actually won a real tournament before but he’s been practicing a lot. Apparently the stars aligned this weekend and he somehow went undefeated through the hot seat. 🤷
The real story is... Kenny played awesome like he always does. He worked through some tough matches and looked focused and in full form. He went through his bracket and beat Jose Ortega 8–4 for the hot seat.
And in true Russian Kenny style... he was in action while waiting for his finals match. 😅
🥇Jose Ortega
Jose has made the finals at RAXX plenty of times and this weekend was no different. He had tough wins over players like Chris Lazarovich and Nishant Narang before losing to Kenny in the hot seat match.
**Jose then beat Alex Gurevich to get another shot at Kenny and took the first set of the finals 6–4. Kenny and Jose agreed to split after that.
🥉3rd — Alex Gurevich
Alex is playing full time and putting a lot of work in and it's showing. After an early loss to Duc Lam he won six straight before Jose ended his run. Across nine matches Alex won 64 racks and lost 33. His seven match wins were the most in the tournament.
4️⃣ 4th — Lidio Suazo
Another deep run for Rasta. After losing his opening match, Lidio won six straight to reach the final four. He’s been here plenty of times before. Smart play, high-percentage shots and plenty of patience. Always tough to get through this guy.
5️⃣6️⃣5th–6th — Nishant Narang
Nish won his first three matches only losing to Jose and Lidio this weekend. This guy has super bare down mode and just plays hard to win.
5️⃣6️⃣5th–6th — John Francisco
Last but most definitely not least... Mr. John Francisco himself. F-Train won his first three matches with wins over players like Lidio Suazo and current Ginky Memorial champion Edward Duarte. Only Kenny and Alex got past him.
⭐🏆SUNDAY 10-BALL EVENT RESULTS
🥇1st — Ashley Benoit
Ashley went undefeated through the event, including the finals. She had a few tight matches but came with it and got the job done under pressure.
🥈2nd — Simon Lau
Simon impressed us on Sunday. He didn’t quite hit his top speed in the 9-ball main event but he found his stroke in the 10-ball and worked his way through the bracket to the finals. Guy was on fire!
🥉3rd — Chris Lazarovich
Chris always plays well and tested everyone he played this weekend. He lost double hill to Ashley Benoit in the hot seat match and finished third.
