⚾️ SEV FAMILY — ONE OF OUR OWN NEEDS US! ❤️💙
Meet Gavin, one of our 11U Dodgers players.
Last year, Gavin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes just three days before All-Star tryouts.
Fresh out of the hospital and still learning an entirely new normal, Gavin had one thing on his mind:
⚾️ Getting back on the baseball field.
He showed up. He played. He tried out.
And he didn’t make the team.
But that wasn’t the end of Gavin’s story.
He went back to work. Practice after practice. Day after day. Managing diabetes while continuing to play the game he loves.
His goal? Come back and make the All-Star team the next year.
And this year… HE DID. ❤️
Now Gavin has another exciting opportunity: he’s been nominated for Youth Athlete of the Year, and he’s currently sitting in 5th place!
This is where the SEV baseball community comes in. 🙌
🗳️ VOTE FOR GAVIN EVERY DAY!
There are only 6 days left in this round, and every single vote matters.
Let’s show Gavin what being part of the SEV family means.
Share this post. Send it to your team. Tell the grandparents. Tell the dugout moms. Tell that dad who somehow knows everybody at the ballpark. 😂
Let’s rally behind one of our own and help keep Gavin moving forward! ❤️💙⚾️
From the hospital to the ballfield.
From missing the cut to making the team.
Keep going, Gavin. SEV is behind you. 💪
