Every great home needs care.

For years, our Hale Family YMCA flooring has supported thousands of workouts, first steps, personal records, and community connections. Daily use, equipment traffic, and countless member visits naturally create wear and tear over time.

This project is part of our commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Just like any home, regular maintenance helps keep our Y strong for generations to come.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we make these improvements.

We're investing in our facility today so our community can enjoy it for years to come! 💙

💦 May is National Water Safety Month 💦 Water Safety Tip #6: Reach. Throw. Don’t Go.

Helping kids stay water smart means teaching them how to safely help someone in trouble. If a friend is struggling in deep water, children should never jump in to try to rescue them. Instead, teach the “reach, throw, don’t go” method by reaching with a long object, throwing something that floats, and getting help right away. 💙

As America’s Swim Instructor, the South Shore YMCA is proud to help children build confidence and learn lifesaving water safety skills. Learn more about swim lessons and water safety at ssymca.org/swimlessons

Phase 2 of the Hale Family YMCA flooring renovation project is officially underway!

You’ll notice we’ve moved some equipment around to accommodate the next stage of improvements. While your usual routine may look a little different for the next few weeks, this is the perfect opportunity to try something new - a different workout, a new piece of equipment, or a fresh training style. You never know what results you may discover along the way.

Thank you for your flexibility, patience, and continued support as we work to create an even better Y experience for our community. We appreciate YOU!

💦 May is National Water Safety Month 💦 Water Safety Tip #5: Wear a life jacket.

Helping kids stay water smart means using the right safety equipment around water. Young children, inexperienced swimmers, and non-swimmers should always wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket while boating or spending time in and around open water. 💙
