About 18 years ago, I realized that one of the absolute deadliest baits that you could have in your entire tackle system is the suspending jerkbait 💯

Before we all had the front looker on our troller motors, this is one of the deadliest baits when the water temps cooled. The ability to put a bait in front of a fishes face, and it neither rise, nor sink, gave you the ability to get even the most lethargic and finicky Bass to react.

The 6th Sense Fishing Provoke jerkbait comes in several sizes, different sounds, in different sink rates. From fall all the way to late spring, I will have several variations of a Provoke tied on my Kistler rods.

All of my jerkbaits are on Kistler 6’9” med to lite/med/hvy rods. That shorter rod also comes with a 9 1/2 inch handle. That makes it easier for me to twitch the rod without the handle interfering in my shirt or my forearm.

11-15 # Seaguar Invizx flouro is ALL I use!

A jerkbait has probably produced as many DD fish as almost any other lure I own in my boat, for me!
