It is with profound honor that we celebrate the legacy of SSG Dustin Kope, a member of BTRP 2-104 CAV who recently returned to us from a mission in the Horn of Africa. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and fellow Soldiers. SSG Kope will be posthumously promoted to SFC. Details of his services are outlined below.

Following high school, Dustin joined the U.S. Army, where he served for 13 years, becoming a Staff Sargent. When he wasn’t deployed, he worked with his family at their business as an auto mechanic. Dustin was known for his sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh.

In addition to his parents, Dustin is survived by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Good; a sister, Amanda Kope and a niece, Anna Wise.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Justin S. Kope.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 9 to 11 AM, at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 110 Durlach Road, Ephrata, followed by his funeral service at 11AM, with Rev. Dr. Reggie Phillips officiating. Interment will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
