Winstead Acres Riding Academy provides comprehensive training in Equestrian sport and husbandry.

Meet the Trainer:
Becky Winstead has spent the past 20 years training and teaching horses and riders. With an extensive background in Hunters and Western disciplines, she is one of the only trainers in the area to offer both disciplines to her students. Becky received her undergraduate degree in Equine Science and Management from Morrisville State College in Upstate New York and her Masters in Agricultural Education from USU. She has taught both youth and adults with an ability to tailor lessons to the individuals need. She was a lecturer in the Equine Program at USU and taught the riding, training and management classes while there. Additionally, she coached both the English and Western Equestrian teams and individuals to regional, zone and even national competitions.

After a long dry summer, the rain finally came. Our last week of lessons was modified to accommodate a slick arena and we finished off the year seeking shelter from the rain while out on the roads.
Thank you for another fabulous year at Winstead Acres Riding Academy.

Ok. Unedited pony work. This is the Bonnie Banshee. She's believed to be a tribal mare (mustang w/o government oversight)
She was un-halterable and only handled in squeeze chutes before coming to me. This is day 10ish.

I gave her 1 week to come to this conclusion on her own. Today, I gave her the nudge she needed.

Lessons canceled for rain?!

What do you mean I'm not a lesson horse?

So I go to work anyway...
Dumb.
