Driver vs Iron

One of the biggest setup mistakes golfers make is trying to swing every club the same way.

With a driver, the ball is teed up and you want to catch it on the upswing. That means your trail shoulder sits slightly lower and your spine tilts away from the target.

With an iron, the goal is different. You want to strike the ball first, then the turf. Your upper body is more centered over the ball with much less spine tilt.

The club changes. The setup changes. The swing changes.

Master the setup first and solid contact becomes much easier.

Most golfers obsess over their driver... but the real score killer is the shot from 50 yards.

From this distance, every yard matters. A shot that's too high can come up short. Too much rollout and you'll miss the green completely.

A few simple adjustments can make these shots much more consistent:

Narrow your stance for better balance.
Play the ball slightly back of center.
Let your chest, arms, and club move together.
Keep the swing smooth with minimal wrist action.
Practice your 40–60 yard distances until they become automatic.

Distance control beats power every time.

Spend more time sharpening your wedge game, and you'll start saving strokes where it matters most.
