We are so excited to help provide another Kids Bike Zone this year at Roanoke GO Outside Festival with Roanoke Mountain Adventures
& Roanoke Star Cycling.

We are planning a larger bike zone this year (and 2 courses!) but this means we will need lots of volunteers to keep it rolling! Please consider signing up for a shift to support this super popular activity! https://roanokeparksandrecreation.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?id=106767

This right here is what keeps us going. The grin. The pride. The excitement. We love helping kids overcome whatever barriers they are facing and helping to get them pedaling.
Charlie we are so exited that you are riding and can’t wait to see you out on the trails with your family or at the bike bus!

We’re set up and ready for another practice at Lakeside Baptist Daycare. We have 7 new pedalers and a bunch more kiddos that have built their bicycle confidence over the past 8 weeks. We can’t wait to kick off our fall programs soon! Do you have a school we should reach out to? Tag them and their director in the comments so we can take them a back to school goodie box next week!

📢 ATTENTION ROANOKE FAMILIES: Learning to ride a bike shouldn’t cost you your patience, your back, or your weekend. 🚴‍♂️✨

We know how hard it can be to teach a kid to ride. Between the bent-over running, the wobbles, and the inevitable tears (from both of you!), it often feels more like a chore than a classic childhood milestone.

That’s why WeeWheel Roanoke is here to take the frustration completely off your plate.

Our next Learn to Ride series kicks off on August 5th! 🎉

In this high-energy, game-based 4 week series, our expert coaches take the fear out of two wheels. We banish the training wheels, build core balance, and guide your rider through a safe, proven step-by-step progression - so they gain true confidence and you get to skip the family drama.

Whether they are total beginners taking their very first pedals or need that extra boost to master control, we’ll handle the hard part so you can just enjoy watching them soar.

Let's get your rider ready for the Roanoke Greenways this fall! 🌲☀️

⚡ Spaces are limited to ensure personalized coaching for every rider!

Today, June 3rd, the whole world is celebrating the humble bicycle. But at WeeWheel Roanoke, we know it’s so much more than just two wheels and a chain—it is a child’s very first passport to independence.
Learning to ride a bike builds the kind of resilience, grit, and joy that changes how a kid sees the world. Suddenly, the neighborhood gets bigger, the Greenway becomes an adventure map, and "I can't" permanently turns into "Watch this!" 🚀
To all the parents, guardians, and caretakers who spend their weekends running alongside our riders, cheering through the wobbles, and celebrating the breakthroughs: thank you for giving them the gift of flight. 👏👏
Let's keep the Star City rolling!
