What if the biggest thing holding people back from better fitness results is that they are training without truly understanding their body?
At Heart Zones, we believe fitness should be personalized, measurable, and motivating. While we focus heavily on schools because we want healthy movement habits and physical literacy to become second nature for today’s youth, we also want to be part of the solution to the growing childhood obesity epidemic. But the Heart Zones Solution extends far beyond the school gym. From health clubs and studios to athletes, trainers, and everyday fitness enthusiasts, our wearable technology and real-time heart rate tracking help people stop guessing and start training smarter.
Using personalized heart rate zones, live feedback, FIT Points, and MVPA tracking, Heart Zones helps users maximize every workout while building greater awareness, accountability, and engagement. Whether your goal is improving performance, increasing activity levels, or creating lifelong healthy habits, SMART Fitness transforms workouts into meaningful, data-driven experiences designed for real results.

When PE technology becomes easier to use, everybody wins.
The Germantown Municipal School District switched to the Heart Zones Move Solution after teachers found their previous heart rate technology difficult to manage and implement. Houston Middle School immediately noticed the difference with simpler setup, easier student management, real-time FIT Points, and the Big Board helping students stay engaged and motivated.
PE teacher Betsy Spurlock shared:
The simplicity of implementing them into our PE programs and the potential of measuring when students are in best frame of mind for learning is what I love most about Heart Zones.
Students also appreciated moving from chest straps to comfortable forearm-worn heart rate sensors that made participation easier during class.

Throwback Thursday: Back in 2016, Harvard Health Publishing explored the connection between exercise and teen depression. Sadly, teen depression is even more widespread today than it was 10 years ago, making the article’s message just as relevant now.
Research highlighted that exercise can help improve symptoms of depression in adolescents, especially when combined with other forms of support and treatment. Movement is not a cure-all, but physical activity can positively impact mood, stress levels, confidence, and overall mental wellness. An important reminder that exercise supports far more than physical health alone.

Heart Zones was honored to have our VP of Sales, Joe Gooden, speak with students in Dr. Balea Schumacher’s FitTech course at the UNG - University of North Georgia about the rapidly evolving world of wearable fitness technology.
From the early days of heart rate sensors to today’s smartwatches, fitness trackers, and emerging technologies, the conversation focused on how wearable tech is transforming fitness, health, and physical education. We also shared how the Heart Zones Solution uses real-time heart rate data to increase engagement, personalize instruction, and support healthier outcomes for students and participants.
It was inspiring to connect with the next generation of fitness and physical education professionals and see their excitement for the future of fitness technology and heart rate education.
