A sight one cannot ever forget. Medivac or Dust-off. In January 1970, I flew in one, as a patient, to the closest field surgical hospital.

Why is this showing here? Because Somatic trauma informed yoga can create new neuropathic pathways in-the brain and provide relief being less anxious, hyper vigilant, and have less anxiety, know that pop yoga has become an $11,000,000 revenue. Not everything called Yoga is of healing. Some is a-free for all that disappoint you. Chose wiskley.

Ten years earlier it was estimated that 30% of Vietnam veterans had PTSD. To the majority of the general public those words didn’t mean anything. Just words.
Perhaps now, some of them understand PTSD, its cause and its various symptoms.
Such understanding could prevent marriages from failing, children from growing up hating their fathers, and illustrate to the general public, its role in their healing. Perhaps the subject may be included in the Democrat’s Project 2029.

A whole generation of American combat Vietnam veterans is rapidly dwindling. Many, long ago, resigned to silence, will pass as outsiders.
Thousands of this lost generation survived combat to receive disdain on their arrival home in the United States. Thousands got various different cancers from exposure to Agent Orange. I saw two fade and pass as I attended IOTP in Newington CT. I thought I would be spared, but I was not. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma eight years ago. It is incurable. My bone marrow produces platelets with cancer in them. The cancerous cells flow through one’s whole body. Sometimes, I think that the chemotherapy is worse than the cancer. I am 76 years old, can’t walk without a rollator, miss a hormone which results in deep muscle fatigue and pain. This is the ultimate consequence of my service to my country.
I regret the mental damages PTSD, C-PTSD, and Moral Injury that the war caused in me. These robbed me of experiencing a full life after my service, and of enjoying the dream of retirement near the beach.
Think, before you send your children to become heroes in the next war.

Nearly six decades after its end the infamous reception given to Vietnam veterans returning home, is still being explained.
IT IS TOO LATE. The generation of Vietnam veterans already suffered its damaging effects.
The greeting, “Thank you for your service” wasn’t started for us. It was a sincere popular response to the returning Iraq Veterans. They were the ones who started saying “You should thank the Vietnam veterans. To say, “Thank you for your service” it to some Combat Vietnam veterans today is an insincere social band-aid, or worse, an insult.
A sincere admission and an apology would do much more and better.
