If the instruction isn’t clicking, speak up. Ask to see it demonstrated or hear it explained differently.

A week to relax, right? 😂

Monday: Work 6 AM–5:30 PM ➡️ Softball practice 6:30–9 PM.
Tuesday: Work 6 AM–5:30 PM ➡️ Batting lessons 6–10 PM.
Wednesday: Work 6 AM–5:30 PM ➡️ Softball practice 6:30–9 PM.
Thursday: Work 6 AM–5:30 PM ➡️ Batting lessons 6–10 PM.
Friday: Work 6 AM–5:30 PM ➡️ Batting lessons 6–10 PM.
Saturday: Softball practice 10 AM–12 PM. 🥎

Somewhere in there, I’m supposed to eat, sleep, and be a husband and dad. 😂 Tired? Absolutely. But I love my family and these kids, and I love what I do. 💪

The goal isn’t to practice only when you’re struggling. The goal is to keep practicing even when you’re doing well. 💪⚾🥎

When the hits aren’t falling and your confidence is low, it’s easy to see why you need the work. But when you’re playing great, don’t forget the effort that helped you get there—the extra swings, the ground balls, and the days you showed up even when you were frustrated.

One bad game doesn’t erase your progress, and one great game doesn’t mean you’re finished growing.

As your coach, I don’t expect perfection. I want you to believe in yourself enough to keep learning, keep trying, and keep showing up.

Celebrate your success. Be proud of how far you’ve come. Then keep putting love and effort into the game that means so much to you. ❤️

Do you tell your kid you’re proud of them in the moment? Not just after the game or on the ride home.

One thing I’ve learned from working with these kids is that they notice more than we realize. They hear you cheering for another player. They notice when someone else’s success gets a bigger reaction than their own.

Sometimes we get quiet because we EXPECT our kid to make that play or get that hit. But meeting your expectations still deserves recognition.

Cheer for their teammates—absolutely! Just make sure your own kid hears that same excitement for them, too. I’ve seen how much it can affect their confidence when they feel overlooked.

We’re quick to point out what went wrong. Let’s be just as quick to recognize their effort, their progress, and what went right—even when it wasn’t perfect.

Don’t assume they know you’re proud. Tell them. Show them. In that moment. ❤️⚾🥎
