A huge thank you to our amazing Level 3 & 4 students for hosting a delicious bake sale and to all of our dancers for sharing everything they've learned this summer during our annual summer presentation. We loved seeing the incredible growth, hard work, and artistry that blossomed with the guidance of our wonderful guest instructors and the Marin Ballet staff. 💙

We hope everyone is enjoying a fun and relaxing summer break! We can't wait to welcome all of our dancers back for our Fall classes.

We're thrilled to welcome Elaine O'Malley back to Marin Ballet this fall as a new member of our Intermediate/Advanced Ballet Faculty! ✨

A Marin Ballet alumna, Elaine trained here from 1989–1998 before embarking on an international professional career with The National Ballet of Canada and Dutch National Ballet, performing works by some of ballet's most celebrated choreographers. Her career has also included studies at École Lesage in Paris, a degree in fashion design from FIDM, and years of teaching and developing ballet curriculum for young dancers.

Many of our students and families already know Elaine as Clara's Mother and the beloved narrator of our Nutcracker Storytime, roles she has shared with the Marin Ballet community since 2012.

Returning to Marin Ballet as a faculty member is a true full-circle moment. We are honored to welcome Elaine and can't wait for our students to learn from her artistry, experience, and passion for ballet.

🩰 New Teen Ballet Class Begins August 17 — Try it for FREE! ✨

We're excited to introduce a New Open Teen Ballet Program designed for teens (ages 13-18) looking to build strength, flexibility, confidence, and artistry in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you're new to ballet or looking to complement training in dance, theater, or sports, this class is a great fit! Come dance with us!

Our Level 9 students had an amazing time volunteering at Julia Adam Dance (JAD) LUNAE experience! 🌙✨ We’re so proud to see them supporting the arts and being part of such an exciting event.

Our Level 8/9 students had an unforgettable experience at a special JAD "Field Trip" Master Class & Workshop in Petaluma! 💫

They trained alongside professional dancers, gained valuable insight into the rehearsal process, and watched preparations for Julia Adam Dance's stunning outdoor production, LUNAE. Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to learn from working artists, deepen their artistry, and see what a professional dance career looks like up close.

Last Thursday, our dancers had an amazing time performing at the Marin County Fair! 🌞💃

They lit up the stage with their energy, talent, and love of dance. We're so grateful to everyone who came out to cheer us on and support our dancers. Performing at the fair is one of our favorite summer traditions!

Yesterday, our Summer Intensive Intermediate and Advanced students kicked off their training with an inspiring special guest speaker, Dr. Kristin Wingfield.

A board-certified sports medicine specialist, Dr. Wingfield serves as Medical Director of the Wellness Center of the San Francisco Ballet, is a member of the World Aquatics Sports Medicine Committee, and leads her own practice, Sports and High-Performance Medicine, in Mill Valley.

Dr. Wingfield covered important topics to set the tone for a productive and healthy summer of dance training, including injury prevention, the importance of properly warming up before class, fueling the body with good nutrition, the role of Calcium and Vitamin D, hydration, rest, and recovery.

We are grateful for Dr. Wingfield’s expertise and for helping our dancers prioritize their health, wellness, and longevity in dance. 💙
