Fuel your lifts before you even touch the barbell.
When you feel like you are moving in slow motion or the weight feels twice as heavy as last week, your body is telling you its primary energy systems are completely depleted.
True strength isn’t just about grit; it is a combination of central nervous system (CNS) readiness and glycogen availability.
Why You Feel Weak
The CNS Drain: Heavy lifting requires your brain to recruit muscle fibers.
Without enough deep sleep, your nervous system cannot fire at 100%, making weights feel crushed-heavy.
The Empty Tank: Muscles rely heavily on stored carbohydrates (glycogen) for fast, explosive energy. If you train fasted or low-carb, your muscles literally run out of gas mid-set.
The Two-Step FixPrioritize Rest: Extra sleep restores your nervous system and coordinates muscle firing.
Pre-Load Carbs: Eating fast-digesting carbs (like a banana, rice cakes, or cream of rice) 1 to 2 hours before training directly tops off your muscle glycogen for instant
power.

We love celebrating our amazing members!
Tamara and Bill have been training with us at Elite for three months, showing up consistently every single week 👯
They even use their workouts as a fun weekly Date Night to get healthy together 👩❤️👨💪
Their Progress ✅:
Bill feels much stronger and more flexible 💪
Tamara noticed a huge boost in her balance and strength. She even caught herself during a recent stumble and avoided a fall! She knows she wouldn’t have had that balance three months ago. 🧘♀️
Fun Facts:
Tamara is a talented harp player and Bill performs Japanese comedy!
We are so lucky to have you both in our community!

Gym tip tuesday!
Focus on the path, not the finish line. 🚀
When it comes to fitness, set process goals, not outcome goals.
An outcome goal is the destination (like “losing 10 lbs”).
A process goal is the exact roadmap that gets you there (like “eating a lean source of protein at every meal”).
Here is why switching your mindset changes everything:You control the process:
You cannot always control exactly how your body responds week to week. You can control what you put on your plate.
It builds permanent habits:
Focusing on “getting toned” can lead to frustration if results take time. Focusing on “getting good form on every single rep” builds strength, prevents injury, and guarantees long-term results.
It eliminates frustration:
Outcome goals create an “all-or-nothing” mindset. Process goals give you a victory every single day you show up and do the work.Fall in love with the daily habits, and the results will take care of themselves. 💪

Motivation Monday!
You don’t have to be the strongest, fastest, or most experienced in the room, you just have to KEEP SHOWING UP. Progress is built through the small choices you make every day: getting your workout in, pushing through the tough moments, and staying committed to your goals.
Remember, results don’t happen overnight. Get lost in the journey of your fitness, have fun, and results are bound to follow. Stay consistent, trust the process, and keep showing up for yourself . Your future self will thank you 🙃🏋️
