This player wants to help it in the air rather than striking down on it using loft of the club to do that part of the job. If you move the club properly it will do the work.

Not as smooth as I would like but moving in the proper direction.

Tough to control speed and distance with that short choppy motion. I visualize the grandfather clock in motion to create constant speed/tempo. Over acceleration is the result of not making a long enough backswing for the distance the ball needs to travel. Acceleration needs a runway to build up speed so let that putter swing.
