💦🛟 As lifeguards head back to school, the McDade Park splashpad will be open on limited days for the remainder of the 2026 season. The splashpad will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as follows:

➡️ Wednesday, Aug. 26; Saturday, Aug. 29; and Sunday, Aug. 30
➡️ Saturday, Sept. 5; Sunday, Sept. 6; and Monday, Sept. 7 (Labor Day weekend)

Lakes remain open for swimming at your own risk with no lifeguards on duty. 🦠Water bacteria testing continues through Labor Day. Please swim with caution and stay safe!

The Lackawanna County Commissioners Youth Sports Initiative along with the Parks & Recreation department will host the 🏃🏃‍♀️ 𝟯𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 🏃🏃‍♀️ on Saturday, Sept. 12, at McDade Park, 1 Bald Mountain Road, Scranton. 📢 MCDADE PARK SPLASHPAD CLOSED SUNDAY, AUG. 23 -- JOIN US AT THE SUMMER BEACH PARTY AT AYLESWORTH! ⛱️ 🏊🚣‍♂️The McDade Park splash pad will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 23, as county lifeguards will be reassigned to support Archbald Neighborhood Association's Summer Beach Party at Aylesworth Park. With seasonal staff returning to school, our limited team will be concentrated at the beach event to provide waterfront supervision, introductory swim lessons and rowboat rides!
