🎣 🐟 The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will host a 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 3 to 6 p.m. at McDade Park, 1 Bald Mountain Road, Scranton. This is a structured session designed for those new to fishing or seeking a refresher with the goal to build foundational fishing skills and provide on-water fishing experience.

Progress continues on the brand-new pickleball courts and resurfaced tennis courts at McDade Park! We are aiming to wrap up soon, but if the fall weather gets too cold at night, the final layer of color coating will be applied in the spring.

💦🛟 As lifeguards head back to school, the McDade Park splashpad will be open on limited days for the remainder of the 2026 season. The splashpad will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as follows:

➡️ Wednesday, Aug. 26; Saturday, Aug. 29; and Sunday, Aug. 30
➡️ Saturday, Sept. 5; Sunday, Sept. 6; and Monday, Sept. 7 (Labor Day weekend)

Lakes remain open for swimming at your own risk with no lifeguards on duty. 🦠Water bacteria testing continues through Labor Day. Please swim with caution and stay safe!
